We visited this dairy today and we're able to watch the Parmesan making process from beginning to end. They do a fantastic job of explaining everything and show you into all parts of the facility. Delicious cheese, too!

Educational. Recommend an English speaking guide ( book ahead) , to better understand the process steps, aging, grading, & distribution. Prompt start 08:20 , approx. 2 hours, finale light tasting & beverage in the retail site..

Excellent experience! Great, kind and hospitable hosts! Yummy parmesan :-) Definitely worth to visit when experiencing Italy by car!

We never knew that the gigantically successful Parmigiano Reggiano cheese was effectively and efficiently made by hand by farmers. It was with overwhelming awe and delight that we witnessed two hours of labor by three people at the S. Pier Damiani dairy. The delicious cheese we enjoy every day in Italy is no small testament to the devoted efforts of these men and woman. Anyone who has a chance to go to this dairy at the outskirts of Parma should endeavor to arise early and learn the process.
