If one is interested in coins, they have a big collection. Otherwise, the most arresting feature is a group of eight Roman statutes excavated in the area.

Not only will you find a wide range of statues, artefacts from Italian digs there are also collections from Egypt. A large collection of statues of the great and good back to the 1st Roman Emperor including wives and family also. Very well put together exhibits, bonus is visit after the Farnese Theatre and follow up with the National Gallery.

In teh combined Palazzo della PIlotta ticket this museum is also included. Small but very valueable artifacts, a lot which was found here in Parma. But there are also other Roman, Greek, Egyptien items.

While visiting the Farnese teatro we visited the exhibition PArmegianino and Correggio
Two Parma artists -16 the century and we enjoyed it very much. The museum has a nice collection of triptych + a lovely small drawing by Leonardo da Vinci. Enjoy. Yona S.

The museum is small. It's included in the combined ticket and since it's located in the same complex as the Fornese Theater one might as well see it. It should take no longer than an hour for thorough viewing.
