This hotel is a mixed bag. First, I wouldn't call it a tourist hotel - it's more of a business and conference hotel, but I'm not sure that's a bad thing! Second, it's not close to the historic or commercial center of Parma, but it can be walked in about 30 minutes (on bike paths also), and is a relatively cheap taxi ride (8 Euro) to that area. The hotel will call a cab for you and it arrives promptly. We also found taxis for the return trip, either at the Piazza Garibaldi or at the train station, which is not far to walk from the commercial/historic area. Third, the price of the rooms was quite reasonable and made a lot of room in the budget for taxis! Fourth, there is a good, hearty and very diverse breakfast available, although the juices and coffee machine were not particularly good. Fifth, there is a shopping center a short walk away through a quiet neighborhood, so if you need to pick up any toiletries or clothing, it's a good chance to do so. Sixth, the room was quite roomy (our rooms were in the old section of the hotel) and the bathroom huge - we really appreciated the spacious shower. Housekeeping was good and the staff helpful. The negatives: the restaurant is open for a very limited time for lunch and dinner, which was not convenient. In addition, the hotel is located on a very busy thoroughfare which limits some of the walking you can do. However, I'd stay there again, as long as I was planning to be gone most of the day (as we did). It's not in a location where it's easy to pop in and out during the day between outings.

I “assumed” this was IN Parma not a few miles awAy! Then we tried to get taxi but 45 mins later still none- we walked 49 mins! Then after a fantastic meal and enjoying walking around the city again no taxis available - 10:30 at night walked bk
This has put a huge sour end to our trip! The hotel is ok. There are two parts - a new modern part and an old part, our group is spread all over - some liking the room, others hating it. The WiFi isn’t good in all areas of hotel so maybe you’ll get a room with reliable WiFi? I didn’t. I’d pay more and stay elsewhere!

This is an unusual looking building. From the car park it’s difficult to understand how it fits together. We entered and found it to be a pleasant friendly hotel. The room was clean, comfy king bed the only downside was the bathroom. It needs an upgrade in my opinion. The best part was the breakfast. Whilst the rest of amenities indicate a 3 star hotel, the breakfast makes up for it. If you cannot get a great breakfast here you’ll never get a great breakfast anywhere. It has everything you would want.

Stayed here whilst visiting friends in Parma. I had a single room which was pretty small but I wasn't in it much. As others have said it's just outside Parma but it's easy to get into town by bus. More traditional hotels in town but long stay parking is expensive or you have to park outside the centre anyway. Best thing definitely was the breakfast, lots of choice of good quality food and also a few items that were gluten free if you needed that. Out of season but good value for money. Will stay again.

A good standard hotel, but I would rate it more in the 3 rather than 4 star category. Very clean, professional looking but room very impersonal. The room lacks any decor on the wall, so very plain looking. They could put some prints on the wall just to add a bit of colour and character. Whilst its very clean the bathroom has the tiniest of showers I have ever come across. Its like a sausage capsule and you can hardly move it in. Its rather awkward to take a shower in it. The TV also has a very small screen so viewing from the bed you have a very poor experience. The lighting is the room is fairly dim, I would have preferred the ability to have a bit more light in the room. There is a sensible balance between energy saving and comfort, but I feel the room was disproportionately biased to feeling more dingy and dark rather than nice and light. Doesn't need much more, just a little more. The view from the room we had was also curtailed by overgrowing shrubbery. It would have been nicer if they had cut it down to have a bit more of a view. But more of a nicety as we were not staying long so not bad enough to really grate on you.

The room has a keycode safe to store your valuables and the bathroom has a selection of showergel, shampoo etc... so all you need is provided. However, the room doesn't have any facilities for making tea or coffee in the room. Its rather unusual as most 4 star hotels we have stayed in generally have this provision.

The breakfast is good with a good selection of options and well presented. The ambience of the breakfast room is creative and pleasing with some interesting art forms on the walls. The staff are friendly and professional. Overall its a very comfortable hotel other than for the shower and a few gripes on the room decor and size of television.
