Perfect location in the middle of Town: opposite the two towers, at walking distance of restaurants, bars, shops and the great Piazza Maggiore. Yet in the room, the outside noise can not be heard. Bedroom is in an apartment on the first floor of an historic building. The owner Nicolo is a fantastic host: cheerful, friendly, helpful and caring. He really makes this place excel.

Wonderful location directly opposite the Due Torri where all the main roads in Bologna meet. The B&B consists of two rooms on the first floor of an old Palazzo (Strazzaroli - the erstwhile headquarters of the drapers' guild). The place has been sympathetically restored with modern facilities, while retaining patches of the original plaster decoration. We had the larger of the two rooms which is huge, if a little dark because of adjoining buildings. There are two sofas, heating and air con, a kettle and tea/coffee making in the room. There is a separate toilet and a separate bathroom with shower. All spotlessly clean and well-presented. Breakfast is served in another elegant room with a good choice of savoury and sweet items. Nicolo, one of the owners is a genial and generous host and will help to make any stay more enjoyable. I can't imagine a more comfortable or better place from which to explore this lovely town. Taxi to/from the airport is 20-25 Euro. Many local restaurants and Nicolo has a list of his special favourites which he will gladly share with guests.

Room tip: The smaller room has an external terrace - but no sofas!

Fabulous central location, close to food, entertainment, bars, and the market.
The suites were fantastic, clean ,large, and comfortable. This place was so quite inside, you just can't imagine how peaceful it was. The host was helpful, and spoke wonderful english. Breakfast was great.

Firstly, can I just say that this is, without doubt, the most wonderful stay in a B&B I have ever had.
The location of the B&B is the closest you can get to the Bologna tours without staying in a Church or being in the square. Bologna reaches out diagonally from the Towers as they are the focus of the city so you are slap bang in the centre when staying here. As the B&B is in the centre you might expect it to be noisy but it's on the first floor and lovely, quiet and cool from the hot and noisy square by the towers.
The bedroom is immaculate, shower is hot and powerful and bed very comfortable especially the pillows. The rooms are large and our one had a small terrace which is better use in Spring / Autumn when the weather isn't so hot. Nicolo left out English breakfast tea and some locally made biscuits which was a lovely touch! The wifi is also strong and easy to connect to.
Breakfast was continental but with lots of choice and lots of lovely, Italian coffee.
Lastly, Nicolo was the perfect host he was wonderful to talk to, knowledgeable about Bologna - incredibly kind and friendly and we felt instantly at ease in his company. He introduced us to his British friend - who was gorgeous and we look forward to meeting his other British friend when we visit next time. Thank you so much Nicolo, you made our trip to Bologna!
