Trip was prompted by a search for our "roots", which was successful. It was time for lunch so we asked one of the locals for a suggestion. He recommended Da Mario. A restaurant truly for locals. We were warmly greeted by Mario who told us what the menu for the day was. There is no written menu. We had two kinds of pasta plus a sausage and cheese dish. Red wine, of course, because " white wine is no good for the brain".
Food, atmosphere and warmth was terrific. Felt very much at home. Ciao.
We visited Da Mario's on the recommendation of the hotel where we stayed. We were not disappointed. We were warmly greeted by Mario who showed us to our table. We received bread and water very quickly and asked for the menu. There is no menu because the choices are limited to what is prepared fresh that day. Despite the limited choices, we all ordered pasta which was very tasty. The restaurant decor is a bit dated, but offers a charming and rustic atmosphere. We all enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend Da Mario's for typical, authentic Italian cuisine.
I went with my friends for lunch here. The staff took a couple of minute to come to our table and ask for our orders even though the restaurant was not very busy. The food came almost half an hour later. Was it typical Italian?
The price was average and the food tasted okay.
Had a very nice homemade lasagna here very tasty 😋😋😋 there's not too much on the menu because everything seems fresh , very efficient service
