We stayed for 4 nights in this wonderful hotel on a quiet back street, but within easy walking distance of the major sites. Plenty of choice to eat out locally and a lovely base from which to explore the Monit area. The service is impeccable, the breakfast on the roof terrace comes complete with homemade extras - flourless chocolate cake, pastries etc. A wonderful hotel - We will definitely return.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. First off, the location is excellent. Right next to the Forum of Augustus, but tucked on a pedestrian only side street to feel quiet and away from the touristy crowds - we couldn't have picked a better place to stay in the city. The moment we checked in we were led to their ancient crypt for a welcome drink. Service was outstanding for our entire stay.

The room (we stayed in one of their two garden rooms on the fourth floor) was excellent. Plenty of space, beautiful vaulted ceiling and a private patio seating area that leads to a secluded garden enclosure that was shared with only one other guest - every detail was perfect. I will say, we didn't use the garden area all that much, but that was only because the main terrace and rooftop patio for the hotel (located on the same floor) was even more breathtaking. We had breakfast and afternoon drinks on the very top level (there's a spiral staircase that leads you even higher than the main rooftop area) which offers breathtaking views over Rome.

Our stay was lovely - I do not have a single negative thing to say about our experience here. This is exactly where we will stay anytime we return to the Eternal City.

Dear Guest,

What a wonderful review.

We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay and we also look forward to your return, hoping that this time, the weather holds up and you can enjoy the garden and terrace the way they are supposed to be enjoyed.

Great location. Young, friendly and very helpful staff. We stayed two nights upon arrival in Italy, left for the Amalfi coast, and returned four days later for our last two nights in the country. Couldn't have enjoyed it more. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, which is the way to see Rome. Breakfast was delicious. The upstairs terrace views and snacks were perfect with a bottle of Prosecco. I highly recommend taking advantage of the car service to and from the airport, because the place is a little tricky to find.

Room Tip: The bed was too soft on our initial stay, but upon return they found one that better suited us.

We stayed at the hotel yesterday. We wanted to thank all the staff for being so attentive, friendly and genuine. I think one of the highlights of my trip to Pompeii and Rome was arriving at the Hotel and being taken straight to the crypt and given a glass of wine and a homemade tiramisu. Alex was great at telling our children some history about the crypt. Breakfast was great and the rooms luxurious. My eldest daughter loved the fact the hotel was hidden in a cobbled back street. She said 'this is what I imagined Rome to be like' The beauty of the hotel was it was so close to the major sites. My other daughter has told me it was a trip she will never forget!

This review follows a wonderful two night stay in the Eternal City.

The hotel is situated just meters from Trajan's Market and the Main Street of downtown Rome. The entrance is hidden on a beautiful cobbled back-street, complete with shuttered Windows, climbing plants and a traditional Roman water point.

The entrance is simplistic with stylish nods to the ancient history of the city that surround you. Upon beginning the checking in process we were led through to the Crypt which was a lovely space to sip a welcome glass of wine whilst the efficient and friendly staff dealt with another guests query. Check in complete we were led to a gorgeous room on the first floor, complete with four poster bed and a lovely wooden ceiling. The room would be described as traditional but luxury in its styling and facilities. The bathroom had a jacuzzi bath, which unfortunately we didn't have time to utilise, and a high powered, very hot, shower.
We immediately headed out to explore the city before returning to prepare for an evening meal which the hotel was more than happy to organise with prior communication.
Breakfast is served On the fourth floor with a choice between eating indoors in the lounge or, as we did, outdoors on the roof terrace which has lovely views over the city and is also a great spot to have a drink after a busy day walking the streets. The breakfast choice was extensive and delicious with many freshly prepared options including some excellent home bakes from Barbara.
The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, upon check out the front desk staff organised a taxi at our request and it arrived four minutes later which removed any stress from the upsetting business of leaving the city to return home.

We would fully recommend the hotel as the only option for staying in Rome and fully intend on a return trip in the not too distant future ourselves.

Room Tip: A higher room would incur less passing traffic in the corridors. West facing rooms enjoy the sound o...
