Villa Grazioli is staffed by incredibly friendly and helpful people. My son and I were greeted by a receptionist who spent a solid half hour talking me through how to get to all the good bits of Rome and what buses and trams I could use.
The rooms are basic but for the price are very good value, they are clean and the water pressure is good so showers are warm and powerful. Breakfast is also delicious.
Down sides include intermittent and very slow WiFi. Our room (21) was also a little noisy next to the road (but otherwise very comfortable).
For anyone staying one or two nights and needing something cheap and practical I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Small hotel, great staff, clean rooms, great location.
Conveniently located for the bus routes right into the heart of Rome, buses running quite late so evening meal in rome and then bus journey home was really nice.

The hotel is a standard hotel a bit far from the city center but walking distance from transport. Silvia greeted us and was very friendly explaining the area and how to get to the closest bus and tram stops. She explained how to use the public transport and offered suggestions on what to see. The hotel even offers bicycles for free which you can use.

The parking is advertised as free but we had to pay and although the wifi is free, it is very slow. The hotel has a tea/coffee station but no coffee was available in the room, this is Italy, instant coffee must be a no-no!

If you are on a budget and don't mind the extra few minutes spent commuting, then this is a very good option.

Room Tip: We had a room (21) next to the lift and facing the street which sometimes had some noise

I LOVE THIS HOTEL. Great location, wonderful staff, lovely breakfast. It seemed, looking at the map, that it was a bit out of the way, but not so. Very convenient to the center of the city, to Barberini or to Piazza Venezia. The hotel is very close to three important bus/tram lines (one, the #19 tram, takes you directly to the Vatican!). The public rooms on the first floor are beautiful, this hotel was actually the hunting lodge to the Villa Grazioli next door, which is now the Canadian Embassy. The rooms are a bit drab, but very comfortable and well-appointed - and how much time does one actually spend it the
room??? I would like to give a special shout-out to Silvia, at the front desk, who is a whiz on the computer and able to find anything (restaurant, bank, etc). in seconds. And so lovely and personable - yay Silvia! Also to Alessandra in the dining room, thank you for taking such good care of me at breakfast every day.
