We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights while we were in Rome.
We were upgraded to a suite and frankly speaking, though we did not need it, we had a lot of space. This would be ideal for a family with a kid.
We were very satisfied with the cleanliness of the bed linen.
One problem with the room, (and also our friend's room) was with the safe.
In today's hotels such a safe's place should be in the museum , not in the room. They simply do not work.
The noise, (of the tram or the metro, I could not understand which) can sometimes be annoying.
The hotel is not centrally located.
On the other hand if you like walking in parks, the Borghese Park, just beside the hotel, offers you an excellent opportunity\ to do so.
The PVC curtains of the bath was not to our liking.
The kitchenette in the room could be very helpful for families specially with kids.

Still a wonderful destination hotel. This is our fourth trip back to Rome and the Aldrovandi and this time we spent a full two weeks like we did the first year. My other previous reviews will outline the amenities of this hotel and they are still as great as previous years.
The reason we return to this hotel every time is because it is truly a haven from the bustle of Rome. The park across the street is also a buffer from the hectic pace of the city and we spend a lot of our time walking through the park to get to the local restaurants and attractions and also to simply enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the park itself.
What truly keeps us coming back to the Aldrovandi aside from the pool and it's amenities is the service and warmth of the staff.

Luigi is the reservations manager and keeps the process of reserving your room and seeing that you are happy with it very friendly and simple, never any problems. Always a greeting and a warm smile when you pass through the lobby.

Claudio and Allessandro also run the desk and are friendly, polite and have an excellent grasp of English which helps because we are not very proficient with Italian, although we do try a little. We have received excellent help when trying to figure out train schedules and places to see. Always with a smile and a friendly chat. Thank you.

Rafaele...what can I say? You are a master in the kitchen and your breakfasts are always outstanding. Your warmth and attention to detail is very appreciated and we enjoy and value how you look after us. You treat us like family and helped us celebrate my birthday with some extra treats. Thank you!

Allessandro at the pool keeps the oasis of the pool area not only incredibly clean and tidy but quiet and relaxing so all guests can enjoy their time relaxing there. Thank you.

Davide, our wonderful bartender at the pool kept our drinks cold, our snacks fresh and abundant. But mostly we appreciated our chats with you. You are a warm and very special person and not just because your English is excellent but your ability to relate to your guests at the bar is exceptional. Thank you!

Caterina and Manuela, we loved coming in to our clean room, freshly made bed and spotless bathroom. You always greeted us with a smile and a warm hello. Thank you.

I have to say that there are many people involved in the running of this hotel and that every single person on staff greets you with a hello. You are never ignored here, by anyone.

Manuel, the director and manager of the hotel has made many positive advancements with this hotel and we see it growing in popularity every year. But even at capacity this hotel and pool never feels crowded because it is so well managed. Manuel is always friendly and will make sure your stay is everything you thought it would be. Thank you.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great, even the smallest is still very large. Any street noise is blocked out with the closing of double windows.

This is a very friendly hotel with good facilities. Nice rooms and swimming pool. Family rooms with their own patio. The staff is very service minded, we got a lot of help with different questions. A perfect hotel when you want to relax after a long day with sightseeing. It is located in a nice area a short distance from the city center, the tram stops right out of the door and it is easy and not expensive to take a taxi, 10-15e from the most common spots.

Good location. Tram 19 takes to the Vatican. Tram 3 takes to Colosseum. Good breakfast. A little old but clean. Just one minor thing: check in at 4pm and check out 11am. That wasn't really convenient for us.

The Aldrovandi Suites was a lovely base for us. The suites are very spacious and beautifully clean. Trams right outside took us to most of the places we wanted to see or were within walking distance. The staff were alway warm and gracious. Breakfast was generous with a good variety of breads, pastries, cakes, cold cuts, cheeses and hot cooked. We could not find fault with it. A delightful place to stay in Rome slightly away from the frantic bustle of inner city madness

Room Tip: Rooms over looking the pool tend to be quieter
