Description: Tipycal florentine "Vineria". La Prosciutteria (The Ham Shop) is a tipycal old shop owned by a family of winemaker from Chianti Area that sell their products: wine, oil and special gourmet food, especially prosciutto toscano crude, salami, finocchiona and a very special selection of "Pecorino" sheep cheese. You can take away or eat inside on old wooden table and also a good glass of wine starting from 2,50, cost for a special and tasty sandwich with "porchetta" roasted pork is 3,5 euro, tasting menu start from 8 euro. Informal atmosphere in a very romantic original old fashioned place ideal also for a break for a glass of genuine wonderful wine or for aperitif. Open from 11am to 11 pm.

The staff was friendly, patient, warm and helpful. The food was excellent and the atmosphere intimate. We stumbled upon it one evening and returned twice more thereafter. The same level of excellence and charm each time.

“Just lovely”

We ordered medium size selection of meat, cheese etc. It was 30€ (For three person). Beer were cheaper than anywhere in Rome. You have to set the table yourself but they'll bring you the food. Atmosphere was warm and lovely, staff was friendly. Best place to have a snack in Rome so far. I fell in love.

“Great atmosphere!”

Food was amazing especially the shared board of delicious meats, cheese, olives and other excellent Italian tastes!
Super cheap great wine and beer and a great stop for an afternoon pickup, with a super fun staff and some great tunes !

Amazing selection of cured meats, cheese, olives and fruit! Served with tasty bread and a glass of the house red. We had the medium dinner platter for 2. If you are in Rome, eat here!
