This hotel has a great central Naples location. You can walk to many locations with ease. Unfortunately the immediate locale for the hotel is run down and some may find intimidating, but we didn’t experience any issues.

Check in staff were excellent and the room was outstanding. Bed very comfortable.

Big issue was staff, or lack of. We ate in the dining room one evening and all started well, but as staff headed home it all ground to a halt, somewhat ruining the experience.
The courtyard bar was very pleasant place to relax, but bar was often unmanned which meant a long wait to get service.

The area around the hotel is not pleasing to look at but the hotel itself is lovely. The rooms are beautiful and quiet. The bed was very comfy with a very nice duvet. Everything clean and well appointed. Nice courtyard in the Center of the hotel and the staff friendly. The buffet breakfast was good with a variety of choices including fresh fruits. The dinner there was also very good.Highly reccomend a stay at this hotel.

Dear janice m,
I would like to thank you for the time you spent for the review.

We really appreciated that you enjoyed the service and the hotel.

We are happy that you understood our mission: treat our guest in an extraordinary way.

As for the area around the hotel, this neighborhood is an exceptional point to enjoy the heart of Naples and to live an authentic experience, we are aware that the district does not always present itself at its best, we are in contact with the municipality of Naples to help them make the neighborhood more welcoming.

Hoping to have the chance to meet you again in Naples in the nearest future.
Best regards

We had a fine stay at the Palazzo Caraccoilo. The hotel itself is a bit run down (i.e hallways) but the rooms were fine. It seems that they upcharge whenever they can though ($7 for ice delivery with no machines on the guest floors seemed unreasonable) but the front desk staff was very nice and helpful.

Accommodations themselves were comfortable and clean (except some mildew stains in the shower and the drain in the sink not working properly). The high ceilings in the rooms give a sense of elegance that adds nicely to the ambiance. Most of the staff were excellent, in particular the man who delivered our room service and the individuals working in the bar and restaurant. The reception staff however gave very little information about the hotel upon arrival and when we asked questions. It’s too bad. We learned several details during our stay that are not communicated online or at check-in: disappointingly, the spa is closed on Sunday and Monday (we were there for our honeymoon and would have booked elsewhere had we known at the time of booking since this was supposed to be our relaxing stop after touring all the sites in Rome and visiting Pompeii), the shuttle to the train station costs 5 euro a person (7 euro per person to the airport) and accepts cash only and only exact change. The front desk does not accept payment, you cannot add it to your room, and they were exceedingly reluctant to make change for us. The shuttle also only runs in the morning. They will order you a taxi but it costs 20 euro to the train station. Overall a nice stay, the hotel just has some unmet potential.

Beautiful palace converted into an hotel. The area is near the old city center and looks poor and dirty. Room service was ok but some items like garbage bin need to be clean up. Restaurant was mediocre, the food ok but the waiter didn't speak neither english or french that end up in a confusion about our plates that cames without side dishes. Also, two dessert over three on the menu were not available although it was Saturday night. The waiter was not friendly at all. Overall food is ok with nice presentation but not worth of a 4 stars hotel
