We booked a ‘classic’ room with half-board. The first night of our 10-day stay the proprietress kindly gave us a trial night in a ‘superior’ room (at no extra cost) with a sea view as we had contemplated paying the difference of €30/night (originally €49) for the ‘upgrade’. Although the superior room was larger, we decided against the upgrade due to the bright afternoon sun on the patio and to save costs. The classic room, being on the top floor, was very quiet with a beautiful bathroom and a large patio in the shade. Perfect for us in the hot summer season.
The continental breakfast was very good (coffee/tea, fruit, eggs, ham, cheese, croissants, delicious cakes) and we could also sit on the balcony overlooking the sea. The hotel personnel (multi-tasking) were all really nice and the rooms properly cleaned, although on some busy days the cleaning was done rather late in the day.
Our evening meals were a real treat. Our head waiter/cook asked us our preferences and we were served delicious pasta, seafood and fish. However, we sometimes had to wait quite long for our meals. Beverages expensive, like everywhere in Capri. Great spot near the famous designer shops and the ‘piazetta’. Nice pool with Jacuzzi massage, however not often switched on. Good value. Altogether a nice stay.More
