Walked the streets if Salerno trying to find something a bit authentic, we found iris restaurant as it was just there.
The owner ushered us in and explained in itallian English what was on the menu, how we could adapt and how it tasted.
1 vegetarian and 1 carnivore which is tricky.
Iris didn't let us down, beautiful antipasti, tomato bruchetta (made for us, not on the menu)
Vegetarian pasta and made again for us a bolognaise sauce with pasta, the bolognaise sauce was one of the best I have had.
All accompanied by rustic garlic oiled bread.
A nice feeling was we got what we paid for and extra bits were just complimentary, too often we have found is the extras are hidden but on the bill they show up! Not in this case.
2 coffee liquors finished the evening perfectly.
We would return.
