Owner description: Large guard towers that used to protect the ancient city.

Our excellent hotel, the Ilunion Aqua 4, was right by the City of Arts and Sciences so we had a lovely walk all along the old river bed to reach the tower... great way to get to it as apposed to walking through the centre of the old city.

It was only 2 euros for me to go up and 1 for my husband and it it's there we climb it! The steps are not overly steep and we got a different perspective on the city from the top ie we could see further afield out towards the suberbs.

It wasn't crowded either as most tour groups just seemed to stop infront/behind it and not actually go up it.. leaving it free for the rest of us to enjoy!

If visiting Valencia, I'd say go up it!

Very nice imposing gate to the city. Very well preserved. Our guide had mentioned that many works of priceless art from the Prodo Museum of Madrid were stored here during periods of war. The walls are massive and the structure remains beautifully intact.

The view from the tower is really nice. You have to (or should to) pay 2€ for the ticket, but there is nobody checking them.

There are many stairs, even narrow, so if you have physical difficulty or suffer from vertigo you are warn.

We walked through the arch. We didn't have the opportunity to visit. The guide was in a rush to push us through so I cannot say if the views of the city were good or not.
I wish the guide did more explanations. I think I got more information from reading about it on the internet than I did with the guide

This was listed as part of the old city walls which no doubt its is! But it’s linked with the Turia River Park and its not in park but along a road off the park about 500m. That said it’s little cost to visit, provides stunning views and shows how impressive the fortifications must have been hundreds of years ago. We had hire bikes so it’s was easy to locate using google maps app.steep climb to top.
