The room was pleasant and clean and gave a good view of the pool, however the air conditioning only gave out hot air meaning at 6am we were dripping with sweat, reception said this was as they were moving from heating in winter to air conditioning for summer, either way it was unpleasant.

Breakfast was ok, a little tasteless

16 girls on a Hen weekend were pleasantly surprised by the high standard of this hotel!
We booked the level experience (VIP Area) it was fantastic and certainly worth the upgrade! We were greeted on arrival with prosecco which we later found out was complimentary all day whilst we stayed there! As was bottled water, fresh orange, a selection of other soft drinks and snacks. We ate breakfast in here also which was fantastic to be separate from the busy main restaurant. At 6pm in this level area every day they brought out a fantastic selection of canapes, i really cant stress how worth paying that bit extra was!
The rooms were lovely all very spacious, on the corner of the building with double sized balconies, everywhere was very clean. The beds were extremely hard/firm so be prepared for that! As a group of 16 girls we did have one major complaint....... The mirrors in the rooms! There were plenty of them which was lovely however every single one was tinted so they were really dark and made it impossible to do our make up. For some people i know this would be a minor or non existent problem, but for some women similar to ourselves i am just pre-warning you to pack a mirror in your suitcase!
We didnt eat dinner in any of the restaurants so i cannot comment on that but the girls who had lunch on the terrace said their food was really pleasant.
This is an extremely high rise hotel so if you don't like lifts this isnt for you and i have to say the lifts did seem a little bit dodgy making lots of noises and sometimes you could be waiting quite some time for a lift to come.
The pool was very large but we didn't make it in the water as was not quite warm enough for that, plenty of sunbeds although quite a lot of palm trees so some areas were quite shady. There is also a large indoor pool.
On our last day a couple of us visited the spa which was a lovely experience really reasonably priced and very impressed with our massages.
We found the location perfect, we were a 10 min walk to the beach front and a 5 minute walk to the main bars.
All the staff in the hotel were really friendly and particularly Isabel in the Level Reception was lovely and more than helpful during our stay.
i would really recommend this hotel for people looking for a bit more luxury than the standard Benidorm hotels but also i felt we really got our monies worth and was so reasonably priced!

Room Tip: Upgrade to the level experience it is worth it!

Stayed for 3 nights over the Elvis Weekend and had an Apartment. Apartment was very nice but they need to get Air Conditioning working correctly (would not get cool only hot). Cleaning staff should not try to gain access if a Do Not Disturb Notice was hanging on the door. Lights must be the slowest in Spain and everyone we met gave this as the biggest problem. Other than these the Melia is an excellent hotel, modern with friendly and efficient staff and good facilities 8/10

As the headline review states, we were here as part of the Elvis Fiesta. The hotel, therefore, was very busy. It's large enough to cope and all the staff are helpful and the rooms, as far as I'm aware, are all bright and clean. A good size and a high spec bathroom. Breakfast wasn't fab - weird 'powdery' sausage. Their continental breakfast was brilliant - a good array of fruits and meats and breads etc. Even had prosecco to select! Although it was a very large room with additional seating outside, my goodness it was noisy. I don't mean to be offensive to my fellow Brits, but really, they are greedy and rude; pushing in and being loud. These weren't a young crowd either. So, the hotel coped really well - the lifts are very slow but I can't mark them down on that. The poolside is lovely as are the surrounding gardens and levels. Thank you Melia.
The hotel is based on the outskirts of the centre (which is great!) - takes 5-10 mins max to walk in but there's also plenty on the doorstep. Rock & Roll House and Showboat and a great little steak house called Brasserie El Rincon (I think!)

Stayed at this Hotel on a B&B basis for 4 days in April. The Hotel is massive. We stayed on the 9th floor. Rooms were clean and of a good size. Free fridge. A safe which you had to pay a deposit for. Beds of a very good size and I found very comfortable. Rooms made up and towels changed on a daily basis if you wanted.
The breakfast was good. With always a lot of choice.
Staff were always friendly and informative.
This was a nice hotel. The only thing I would moan about was the lifts. Very slow
The pool was very cold but I put that down to the time of year we went which was early April.. plenty of sun-beds.
This hotel is about a 15 Minute walk from the main strip! And prob a 10 min walk to the beach. Overall a very nice hotel
If I was to go back. I would use this hotel again.
Thankyou Melia
