I stayed for 2 nights recently and loved the hotel. The coffee is truly excellent (and free) and the room was fantastic. Will be back again absolutely thanks very much! Location is also convenient for being in the centre of the city.

Dear theoa418,
We welcome your excellent comments to the Artrip Hotel.
Certainly we are located in the heart of Madrid, surrounded by good restaurants, the Museums of the city, as Prado and the most emblematic monuments such as the Royal Palace, Almudena Cathedral and Plaza Mayor. Our staff will always help you to find what you need.

We are happy to welcome you back at the Hotel.

Thanks again and best regards.

I have seldom experienced more friendly and accommodating service than at this independently owned hotel. In the last weeks of the Covid-19 state of emergency, the owner both gave me an upgrade and facilitated early check-in, as well as late check out. The room was very well designed throughout and felt spacious. The soundproofing and hot water were more than adequate. A gem: and a great chance to support a small, local business.

Room tip: 201 felt very spacious.

We stayed for four nights in early March this year (just as the coronavirus was moving into Spain). We found the room very comfortable and quiet, the breakfasts tasty and generous, and the management friendly and very helpful.

The neighborhood is very pleasant, with good choices for cafes, and with a self-service laundry across the street and a good market nearby. Hotel can also provide a pocket wifi hotspot to facilitate access to information while out-and-about in the city.

We'd stay there again in a heart beat.

A beautifully small hotel, furnished with care, conveniently close to the Atocha train station and in a very comfortable location if you have to reach the Airport of Madrid.
Miguel Ángel and Fidel and the whole hotel staffs are friendly and welcoming and always available to give any travel support and information and for any question and need.
The cozy atmosphere and the complimentary coffee and juice available in the dining area make you feel like home and always more than welcome.
The rooms are comfortable and extremely cleaned. Igiene and security measures aimed to prevent Covid-19 make you feel safe even during this weird time.

Room tip: If you are a solo travel ask for the single room in the Attico which is spacious, relaxing and very very quite.
