Worth trying it out for an overview of Madrid. Not many sights to see though as just passing over houses and railway lines. You can get out at the other end and have a walk round. Nice little gift shop too.

We got a one way ticket, loved crossing above Madrid in the cable car. The queue for the car is very slow and people who booked on line join the queue at the front. We tried to book on line whilst in Madrid and weren't able to do so, book online if you can is my advice. We only stayed at the top for a short time and then walked back down through the park, really pleasant walk. Very reasonably priced.

It is a long ride, which is good. The views are not spectacular, the only positive side being the cheapness of Teleferico (4.50 EUR on way, 6 EUR return (could be discounted with Hop on Hop off discount book)). And if you plan to go by foot from Casa Campo to Lago metro station, be prepared to some steep downhills, which are not even properly marked to guide you!

This cable car ride is a nice break if you are strolling Madrid. The ride takes you 1,5km to the west of Madrid. It gives a great view of the royal palace. The first part is over some neighborhood and the ringway - the second part takes you over a nice natural park with pines - at the end is a restaurant and a terrace and you can walk in the park. Take a return ticket as it takes over 20 minutes walk to the subway. Return ticket is EUR 6; one-way is EUR 4,50. Not very exciting but a relaxing break with nice views.

Visited October 2019. The ride was quiet at this time - no queues. However, the views are a bit underwhelming. You ride over blocks of flats, a railway, a motorway and a park. The cafe at the park end was closed at this time.
