Hotel - We checked in and staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed in room 612 on 6th floor and it faced the back so was very quiet. The room was large with very comfortable bed and large wall TV. The bathroom had very large shower cubicle and you got clean towels every day. The housekeeping was excellent. The hotel is in excellent location a short walk to Parque Del Oeste and Palacio Real. If ever back in Madrid would not hesitate to stay here again. Very minor points are would be good to have ice machine in the hotel and mini bar was not cold.

Madrid - It is lovely city, beautiful architecture, lovely plazas and beautiful green parks with loads of benches to sit in the shade when it gets very hot (34 degrees when we were there). It has loads of interesting streets to walk and loads of bars and restaurants. Many restaurant menus are all in Spanish so need to brush up in Spanish, but we had some good tapas and wine. Our favourite bar served really good cold curzacampo lager and you got large bowl of lovely salty olives and crisps (Palacette de Rosales) near the Parque del Oeste. There is large Police presence in Madrid and felt very safe in every area. Found most people in Madrid to be very helpful and friendly. I think Madrid undersells itself and deserves to get more tourists than it really does.

Muchos Gracias Madrid

Ideally situated near an underground stop, very comfortable beds, very modern and clean décor. Good breakfast. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Limited menu in the bar, but it was sufficient as we arrived fairly late.

The hotel is tucked 3 minutes down a quiet street from the Plaza de Espana. Check in quick and easy and room available immediately. Room nice with all the amenities you could want, and maybe just at the end of a refurbishment, we were a bity unlucky as the hotel was in the process of putting cladding on the front so it was a bit intrusive ( it will have finished by now). As the title says hotel or Deli behind the reception is a deli bar one side and a bar the other very strange...but this is where if you're lucky you get a tapa (seemed intermittent sometimes you did and others nada). Breakfast is a small area (won't be now as they were just changing this as we checked out) the selection was generally OK but it could be a struggle to get a table. Staff were a mixed bunch, but as a rule they tended to bit a bit brusk, they would do it but with an attitude and not a happy go lucky I am pleased to be doing this for you. I need to get this of my chest, when is a Mecure a Novatel as this is more inline with what we thought the hotel should be its a mixed bag with Accor at the moment are they mixing there branding us to confuse us ??. It wasnt an unpleasant stay it did its job as a hotel, but that was it. Around the hotel there are plenty of place to eat and see. Best get a room higher and towards the side street as it could be a bit noisy at the front.

Have stayed here twice while visiting family. Before and after the hotels refurb. Loved it both times. Beds comfy. Rooms clean. Staff friendly.
Was lucky enough to stay in one of the top floor rooms with seating outside one time. Loved it but couldn’t book on our next stay. Room we had then was still lovely. Generous size. Windows opened wide to let in the sun. Noise from the street below negligible but great people watching.
Great for site seeing. Buses available locally. Easy walking to any of the major tourist spots. Botanical gardens and templo just a few minutes away.
My daughter has just moved and this hotel is no longer around the corner which is a great shame.
Only complaint is the coffee machines didn’t work well either visit at breakfast. Hopefully they have a new one now refurb is complete

Lovely room (#110) as the hotel has recently been renovated. Good location near Plaza de Espana. It is near the train station. Breakfast was great too. There's a nice café nearby too called Viva La Pastleria, great coffee and cakes.
