Restaurant is in an excellent location, but the quality of the food was horrible. Everything tasted greasy and without good flavor. The server was not very personal at all. I would not recommend going here.

I was looking for a place for lunch when I chanced upon this small restaurant. I ordered a set meal with chicken thigh, chips and soft drink. Food was OK. As some Tripadvisors pointed out, there is a 10% service charge which I am not aware of. Restaurant should be more transparent and have signs to indicate this 10% charge. I suspect they are targeting tourists for a one-off dining experience, due to its touristy location.

10% service fee with the world worst service. The waiter is so rude. Food is overpriced as well. Make sure you avoid this place.

We spotted in here while waiting to do into the palace. Our appears to be a hole in the wall but the staff were very nice and the food was good. The only problem is it can get tight quick space wise. Food came quick and as ordered.

Small front of this cafeteria doesn't give the impression of space available. There are about 20 tables inside and about 8 on the pavement to the corner of Calle Bailen, just in front of the park.
Normally i am not a fan of sitting in the traffic eating my food but the road actually bears off to the right and apart from buses the amount of traffic is light.
The place specialises in Tapas and there are numerous dished and plates available but they also have a cafateria style menu with pictures of a American/British menu with burgers, chicken, pork loin etc. These dishes also come with a drink included and for Madrid are very reasonable in price.
We both went for a plate of pork loin, bacon, fried egg and fries with a soft drink for €9.95 per plate. Food arrived fairly quickly and was well cooked, good portions and very tasty. Service was attentive and jovial although settling the bill took an eternity. Also the prices on the menu did not include the basket of bread (so say no if you don't want it or you will be charged) or the IVA tax. However, we had two plates of substantial food and a soft drink each for €24 and by Madrid standards that is very reasonable.
If your looking for something tasty and convenient after you visit to the Palace then i would heartedly recommend this place.
