One can't miss the gigantic palace when in Madrid. It is perhaps the biggest tourist magnet in the Spanish capital. Unfortunately no photos allowed inside the masterpiece.

If you are over 65 queue to the left and the entrance fee is just 5 euros, you don’t need a guide just ask for a pamphlet that is free, you will need proof of age I had my driving license. I don’t do steps as I am disabled so I was taken up in the lift by the attendant, ever so helpful A wonderful trip through history, give yourself a good couple of hours to get round.there is also a reasonably priced cafe within the grounds.

It was wonderful visiting this palace. The tour was very informative with amazing things to see. How the other half lived aye. Well worth the visit although you cannot take photographs inside the palace except for the first room you visit.

The Royal Palace Of Madrid is without a shadow of a doubt one of the must go destinations on any trip to Madrid.
Palace Of Madrid ( Palacio Real De Madrid ) was built between 1738 and 1755,it looks absolutely stunning and is huge,it's home to most of the present Spanish Royal family, we visited here on a Thursday afternoon and on a beautiful sunny day we had a wander around the palace grounds,it's a very beautiful palace and shows you the opulence that the Spanish Royal Family lived in .
I took some great photos of the palace and really enjoyed my visit here not just to the palace but to the other historically important sites around the palace.
Very easy to locate, we jumped the metro down to stop Principe Pio and on exiting the metro stop you cannot fail to see this magnificent palace.
Well worth checking out.

This palace is probably one of the best maintained I have seen in Europe. Beautiful, ornate and for lovers of history and art.
