The location for Almirante Bonifaz is great! It is a short walk from the center of Burgos, including its beautiful cathedral. That is definitely the plus for this hotel.

As for the rooms themselves, they are worn and tired. Our window looked onto a center courtyard that was completely devoid of any color or decoration.

Breakfast was acceptable. The service was generally friendly and efficient.

For a one-night stay, this was fine. For anything longer, I would have wanted to go elsewhere.

Room tip: Get an exterior room, if possible. The view of the interior courtyard is dismal.

If it weren't for its location, I would rate this hotel one grade lower. Perhaps my evaluation is influenced by the extremely poor view of my room - it overlooked a wind shaft. Food was average. Staff was courteous. Stay here if central location is important to you.

Room tip: Avoid rooms overlooking wind shaft.

We were only in Burgos for one night on our way to France but Burgos was one of our favorite stops. The cathedral there is beautiful and our evening walk along the river was great. Loved the character of the city and would love to have been able to stay longer. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

The only good thing about this hotel is it’s location,10 minutes walk into the centre, but the food was absolutely dreadful. The rooms are very tired, our bathroom was dirty, black silicone around the shower & around the bath plug was disgusting. Not worthy of a 4 star rating. Everyone on our trip seemed to be in twin beds, very odd.

We stopped over for one night in Burgos recently - I wished we had stayed longer as this hotel was so good! The hotel receptionist was a real gem! We arrived in the middle of Fiesta - roads being blocked off by police, hotel car park full! She was so helpful. The room was spacious, very clean and the beds comfy. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We were too late to eat in the restaurant but for sightseeing it is centrally located and was very easy to find...it is on the corner of the street. It was a stop over night on route elsewhere - I wished we had stayed longer and would definately stay here again. One tip - if in a car, arrive early as the hotel car park does get full. The car park is located at the back of the hotel, on the street parallel to Calle Vitoria. If you can't get in there is a public underground car park a few minutes away. You can park in a bay in front of the hotel to unload luggage and then go an park - it was easy!
