This classic hotel is situated right on the sea walk, very near to the old town and just in the middle of the movida. The hotel has a lovely bar downstairs, with sea view and outside area. Get a room with the sea view - it is really worth it!

Room tip: Rooms on the sea side have a fantastic view, and are quiet, contrary to the rooms on the road side.

This is a three star hotel situated right on Bahia de la Concha which flows out to the Bay of Biscayne. From room number 62, we had a fantastic 180 degree view from the top floor of the hotel. I cannot imagine that there is a better room in the hotel. Although the room was small it was very cozy. Soundproof windows blocked out any outside noise. The same cannot be said for noise from adjoining rooms as the walls are very thin and it seems like you could carry on a conversation with your neighbor through the walls.

The Hotel is only one of two hotels that sit directly on the beach. It is an easy 10 minute walk to old town which is where you want to spend considerable time doing tapa crawls. The hotel does, however, have its own restaurant downstairs which we did not eat at, and a bar on the first floor which is vey nice.

The staff was very pleasant, except for one mature woman who was on duty at certain times. A breakfast buffet was offered for 11 euros but skip this. The offerings were meager and not top quality. You can do much better elsewhere.

Despite some negatives, this is a fine place to stay as the views are unbeatable.

Room tip: Ask room number 62 - it is awesome!

This was the perfect choice for a night in San Sebastian. We were covering a lot of territory on this trip and had limited time to see the sights at each stop, so it was important to be close to attractions. Our balcony looked out over the sea, an island, and the beach. The room was small, but well-appointed, with a comfortable bed. Everything was just right.

Room tip: Be sure to request a seaside room.

My partner and I stayed at Hotel Niza for 2 nights. Upon arrival staff were friendly but hard to see as they were seated quite low behind the front desk busy working on their computers. The hotel decor is cute and takes you back to another time in the foyer. The elevator is quite charming also. Our room was on the second floor facing the street. It was quite noisy especially if you want fresh air with the window open. The bedding configuration was comfortable but not great. It consisted of two single beds individually fitted, pushed together in the guise of a double bed, not ideal for a couple. The bed was also quite short we found. The bathroom is suitable and provides a comfortable shower. The hotel interior is quite dated, especially the stairway which looks rather tired.

The real star if this hotel is its location. It is on the promenade. I would request a higher floor room faxing the sea if I was to return. It is an easy walk away from the old historic town and other interesting sights in San Sebastián.

We elected not to have breakfast as it wasn't included with our room. We wanted to enjoy dinner at the hotel but discovered that it doesn't serve dinner on Sunday night only bar eats. The Pintxos in Sans Sebastián is amazing and well worth experiencing in the old quarter.

Overall a comfortable stay in a well located position.
