We called before to book a parking space for the car, good (A bit small) garage connected to the hotel. The receptionist was very helpful, he told us how to get to the old town, we were told that buses numbers 5 and 25 pass near the hotel, he even sold us passes for the bus trip.
The rooms were clean, but the rooms on the second floor, one could hear the traffic and also other guest in their rooms.
There is a coffee shop attached to the hotel were one can have a light breakfast for next to nothing.

When we were in the taxi from the bus station we seemed to be driving forever. We were worried that the hotel would be right off the beaten track. We could not have been further from the truth. The hotel is a short walk to Ondaretta beach, the funicular railway to the top of Monte Igueldo, many bars and restaurants nearby. We like to walk when in a new place and the hotel is a leisurely 30 minute walk to the old town of San Sebastián along the beachfront.
Our room was the size of a small apartment with ample wardrobe space, a king size bed, large picture windows overlooking the street as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was included in our booking and while the hot food selection was much smaller than large hotels offer the food options were ample. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The only thing that was not perfect was the wifi- it was free but sometimes a bit unreliable. We would definitely return to Hotel Codina.

Comfortable and modern hotel about 20 minutes walk along the seafront to the city centre. The area felt safe and is well served by buses. There were plenty of local bars and places to eat, with everything at a reasonable cost. Breakfast in the hotel is quite expensive but offers an extensive range of food, so great for a sightseeing day, as you won't get hungry on your travels. The reception staff were helpful. A glass of wine in the bar was 1.35 euros ( a good indicator of value). We were pleased to have booked secure parking (you have to pay extra for it), as it is not easy to park in the locality.

The only downside is that the hotel is on a busy road and there was some noise from it until around midnight, especially on the higher floors.

This hotel met all of our expectations. Rooms were clean and the service on the front desk was great. The hotel is in the Playa de Ondaretta area of San Sebastián and is just off the beach, which was the best in the city. It's around a 20 min walk to the old town however you can walk along La Concha promenade following the beach. I would definitely recommend staying here as the hotel is of a high quality and is as good value as you are likely to find here.

Room was just enough space with good bed. Bathroom was ok but shower space is a little bit small. Simple and cheap breakfast is ok. Close to the beach and very comvenient to take bus to the centre. Big supermarket is close by.
