The Hotel de Londres was recommended to us by friends, reinforced by other travellers on-line opinions. They were right, well-appointed , good value, comfortable rooms - even the small ones; friendly welcoming staff (who parked my car which I appreciated after a long day's driving) and a lovely location overlooking the beach and walking distance from the old town and other attractions. Ours was a one night stay supporting a visit from France to the Guggenheim in Bilbao but on the basis of this experience, we will be back.

We ate dinner in the dining room on our one night stay and enjoyed it including our waiter's recommendation for dessert on the daily set menu. As we left we declared: "We'll be back".

Room tip: All rooms are good and you get more: such as sea views , space etc as you pay more

Old world charm has called us back ,we were here two years ago and our return has not disapointed us .
Although our room this time was smaller we still had a fab view of the bay .
The staff were friendly and they valet parked our car having come to meet us as we drove in .
Not the cheapest but a touch of old world luxury .
You can forget your car and walk for the duration of your stay and eat in the best tapas bars anywhere . What more can ylu ask .

We stayed at this excellent hotel over Christmas. The staff were very helpful and they made us feel welcome and at home. The Christmas Day lunch was more than we expected and a highlight of our visit. Our room was one of the smaller ones without a view, however it suited our requirements. Having a room with a view of the bay is highly recommended.

This is a very bad superb place for a special occasion. We have stayed a number of time mainly for wedding anniversaries which occur on New Year's Day. We therefore enjoyed their COTILLON ( New Year's Eve dinner dance ). On the surface it appears quite expensive but you are presented with lobster, turbot, scallops, fillet steak etc and as much as you can drink of whatever you like included in the price, it's well worth it. Ask for a sea view of the magnificent Conche beach and you will not regret it. San Sebastion is superb And would recommend it to anyone.

Room tip: Request a sea view.

Definitely recommend this place with view of the beach. We had three to our room and it was plenty big. Downside was the fancy Grohe shower fixture that was difficult to operate. Openable windows allowed us to sleep hearing the waves and feeling the breeze
