Located next to the river. Nice walk along it to the old town and the beaches. Room was clean and had everything I needed including excellent WiFi. The windows were double paned so you couldn’t hear the traffic that surrounds the building. I was on the fifth floor so that might’ve helped too. Very good buffet breakfast. Helpful staff. Highly recommend.

Very well situated and very friendly staff.
Hotel with great reception near the river.
About 20 minutes from the old city of San Sebastian city.

Hotel has parking for a few euros and will do anything to help even post your postcards.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and have always found it to meet our needs. It is a little bit away from the seafront which is about a 15 minute walk. The staff are very good. the car parking is directly below the hotel and is connected to the hotel lifts. The breakfast is one of the best we have found on our travels.

Nice hotel with an excellent service. The breakfast is so complet amd of good quality although the orange juice should be 100% natural - please, do not make these mixes as you are a 4 stars hotel!
Went with wife and 2yo baby... excellent... recommended with the kids. They also gave some colours and draws in the breakfast for the little lady.
The location is good, not far from the centre (15 minutes of nice walk) and you also have the chance to rent bicycles (12€ per day if remember well).
I will for sure repeat however, the only bad thing is the parking... they say it is not of their property and that they offer special prices but 19€ per day is too much anyway... Invest in the clients coming by car and offer a limited number of car parks, but for free. These are those services that stand you out from the rest.

Stayed here while on business in San Sebastian, and in general, pretty happy with the place. It's just a little on the dated side now though, and possibly in need of a little refurb to really make it stand out in this day and age. The rooms are clean, and beds comfy with plenty of power points nearby.
The bath/shower might cause a slight problem if for older visitors, but the arrangement isn't uncommon, so you probably know what to expect. Wifi won't set the world alight, but OK for browsing and email, television selection all Spanish, with no international options. Breakfast was usual continental fare, with a few hot dishes and good coffee.
Unfortunately the whole stay was spoiled by the person in the room next to me dragging chairs and being noisy until gone four in the morning (working early the next day). Absolutely infuriating, and although the hotel can't really be blamed the stone/tiled floors turned my bedroom into a giant echo chamber, meaning i hardly slept at all.
The Amara is also quite a walk from town (25 minutes at a brisk pace) which is obviously no problem on a balmy summers night, but a bit of a pain on a rainy February one!!

Room tip: rooms away from the river side are quieter in the rush hour.
