Great experience. The interior could be described as ostentatious or plush or luxurious. The latter two it is!

Excellent food. The humus, baba ganoush, falafel and sausages. The wine has improved since last visit. Bit of a cheek that they charge you for the bread 'on the sly' though.

The service was warm and friendly. It really is a good place to have delicious food and a relaxed evening.

We stayed at the adjacent Senator Banus in late September 2018 and ate at L'Oriental three times in a week. The decor is stunning, and reminded us of the years that we spent living in Jeddah in the 1980s. The service was very friendly and helpful. But the star was the food. The flavour were quite superb, lamb with almonds, pine nuts and rice, was delicious, the chicken in a filo pastry parcel, even better. And the dessert to die for? Muhallabiyeh. A milk pudding with rose water, orange blossom water and crushed pistachios. For the quality on offer this is not an expensive restaurant.

We look forward to returning.

It was our favourite Lebanse restaurant until our recent visit. We were a group of approx 8 and ordered a lot of food. Food was ok, but not as good as before.
The service was terrible. We waited for aged to see the menue, the waiter was very rude and unfriendly. When an additional guest arrived at our table we waited for 15!!! min for an additional chair, even we asked several times. So we went to search on on our own.
When we asked for a coffee (next to various dessert we ordered) they told us that coffee is not possible as the kitchen is to crowded. BUT THE COFFEE IS ON THE MENUE. Thats just the way it is he said!
We of course complained immediately to the boss and cancelled our dessert order and left.
We will never go back again. What a dissapointment!

We ate out in the garden, which was absolutely gorgeous, and put us in the perfect mood for the exotic and delicious feast were were about to eat. The food was great, service attentive and the atmosphere blissful.

Chose this as it was very close to the Senator Banus where we are staying. Had an Arabic salad and hoummus for starters. Then a minced lamb lofted dish, and a dish with lamb rice almonds and pine nuts. We shard a pudding. We shared a pudding. Portions were generous. A bit pricey though - meal cost €72. Was reasonably quiet when we went in but was very busy by the time we left - service got slower as a result.
