We parked (for free) on the street right outside the orchid house. There's a beautiful garden sorrounding the house. Admission was cheap, and the kids were really eager to see the waterfall and the fishes. Mom was more interested in the orchids, so the place has something for everyone. After our vist we walked directly through the old-town of Estepona, and down to the Beach.

I cam upon this place whilst exploring Estepona. I initially noticed the water sculpture leading down through lovely gardens to what appeared to be an interesting building. My inquisitiveness led my to a beautiful building housing a fascinating collection of orchids and exotic plants from across the globe. The central dome contains 3 waterfalls, there is ample informative information about the plants and their natural environment. They also have a commitment to plant research and I spent a very enjoyable hour this lovely institution.

We were walking through the town and saw the building so went over to see what it was. When we say it was 3 Euros per adult we decided to try it out. There were numerous orchids and as it wasn't busy we could take our time to read the info boards and take photos. There was also a lovely waterfall we could walk behind and I noticed a lift for those who couldn't manage the stairs.

I thought it was going to be bigger and that you could see all the flowers all-year round, however you can only see a few as they have different blooming time. The place is nice and warm, the flowers are gorgeous, but I expected it to be more impressive.
