We are currently in the middle of a two week holiday here. Two adults and two small children.

Firstly, the rooms are lovely, they are basic but clean & bright. We have a twin room and it's fits 4 of us fine with a pull out sofa bed that can be put away during the day for more space. It's a bit small but fine for 2 weeks.

Pool area, the pools are lovely and clean. There is a baby slash area & pool, then two medium sized circular pools, followed by a big rectangular activity pool, and then a water park. All areas are supervised by a lifeguard and very clean & tidy. The water is cold but easy to get into as the weather is very hot, and to be honest going on holiday in June the water is bound to be a bit chilly. The water park is amazing and my two girls are having an amazing time. My eldest daughter is able to go on the big slides (there is a height restriction of 120cm) and my little one (aged3) is most happy with the small slides.

There is also a small gym with running machine, cross trainer & a weights machine.

There is a nice sandy playground, tennis courts with goal nets for football, and a basket ball net.

Beach is not great, bit grey & unappealing, but the view of the sea is lovely.

So, lastly is the food & drink. There is one big restaurant with a quiet area round the back which no one seems to use so we spend most of our meals up there. Breakfast is great... Eggs, bacon, croissants, pancakes, waffles etc.
Lunch, not the best. There is hot food like pizza and cold cheeses etc with bread & butter.
Evening meal- again there is not much choice but there has been something both evenings we have been here like lasagne . There are chips, chicken nuggets, Fish fingers etc for the children. However, my little one has only eaten bread and cheese since we arrived!
The secret is to get there early, don't queue up, just grab what you want and move away. We have not queued at all and we have always had a clean table, round the quieter area of the restaurant. I have not noticed anything undercooked, and if you want it cooked more you can just ask them to put it back on the grill. The staff are all most friendly & helpful.
Drinks are OK. There is San Miguel and also rose wine, sangria and white wine on tap. They have a bar so u can ask for other drinks like g&t, and also soft drinks on tap like sprite, Coke, Fanta and also water.

The evening entertainment had been good so far. Mini disco for half an hour which my girls have loved. Then bingo which is entertaining, followed by a show. Last night there was a quiz which was funny.

There are busses from the hotel several times a day to Estepona & Puerto Banus so we going to head out for dinner tomorrow night just for a change.

All in all we are having a lovely time here so don't be put off by any negative reviews.

We have been here since the 19th yeah the rooms are nice and clean and also the grounds.
The water parks are great too

THE FOOD
not the best in fact it's the worst I have ever had.
Had the Bbq on Saturday night there are 7 of us put on a table for 6 not the best start
The was sausage was RAW in the middle (photo taken) in a rush to get the food out as there was a Que.
this is in the main restaurant too
This was not my first time I had uncooked food (pork) blood at the bone show the chef and got oh well.
Had meat ball at the sea view restaurant some was hot and yes some was warm or uncooked again photo taken.
The sausage says British sausages but are the cheapest you can buy not British.
If they run out of them they use hot dogs.
Paella is made out of pasta not rice
No descent sea food ok you get fish but would have liked shell fish prawns mussels.
But if it was cooked it's was over cooked we have eaten out a few times costing over 60€ each time
This may be a 4 star hotel but it's not a 4star for its food more like 1 star.

Needs more staff as you have 4 staff doing tables at service for around 450 people most days we had to clean up from the party before us
Feel sorry for the staff having to put up with this

Since been here I have put in 3 complaints to tui
Paid over £2500 for 2 weeks I would not have paid that if I thought it would be this bad I would not come back again

The staff in the restaraunt are very hardworking and pleasant but there are not enough of them . I don't like to have to clear and set my own table on holiday. The food was fine there was always something we liked. The coffee machine was terrible and the drinking glasses were too small.
We were very pleased with the rooms spacious clean and modern with tv, mini fridge and safety box.
You put the towels including beach towels on the floor of your bathroom and they were changed immediately excellent maids.
This is a great base to explore the surrounding resorts
We were very pleased with the reliable curtesy bus which stopped outside of reception.
We didn't stay in the hotel in the evening for the entertainment however it looked good for children , as we were 4 adults we preferred to do our own thing.
Unfortunately the tennis courts weren't finished during our stay due to the rain they had previously had.
Weather was perfect, very comfortable beds on decking area.

Firstly the positives, splashworld and kids entertainment excellent. Whole complex kept clean, staff very friendly. Negatives, check in was long and chaotic. Restaurant was in my opinion understaffed food was bland often under cooked not much choice, and often cold, one of our party actually witnessed a cocroach in the bread section. Spent a lot of money at nearby aldis for food and snacks etc. Would not use this hotel again, even though kids were well catered for.

We're on day 3 of our visit and as a quick summary the resort is good. We spend most of our time around the pools, which consists of 2 decent circular pools and a large (around 35metre) standard shape pool. The water park is great for kids too.

The rooms are of a decent standard, evening entertainment is OK and we haven't had any big queues for drinks.

So that just leaves the food...which is unfortunately where is all falls down :( on the plus side we found the food wasn't undercooked (though often dry and chewy) but the selection and quality of the food on offer is poor.

We've been to quite a few all inclusive resorts with first choice / Thomson/ TUI and this has to be the most disappointing one we've been to, food wise. It's just not geared up to deal with the number of guests in the resort and without addition of new restaurant space I can't see how it can get any better.

If you are a vegetarian, then you will have a very minimal selection of main courses, once you've managed to work out what the veggie option is. If you are vegan or have food allergies, then from what I could see you are pretty much not catered for.

Moving on from the food selection / quality, the food replenishing is too reactive, rather than monitoring the levels and replacing when food stocks get low, they seem to wait for it to run out and replace it a few minutes later. And considering the amount of people and limited serving areas, this is a frequent occurrence.

Eating here is a very underwhelming experience and I think this will be the first time I loose weight on holiday!

We've certainly lost a lot of faith in FirstChoice's rating system as I can't see how they could rate this a 4* resort with the restaurant facilities as they are.
