“The statuary is amazing”

The detail in the statuary is very realistic and worth the trip here just to view them. In contrast to the larger cathedral...this is very intimate. We visited during a local wedding.

Proved to be a very enjoyable trip, the history about the old town is amazing, the amount of tapas bars in mind blowing with a variety of food on offer that's hard to beat, very friendly people who definitely make you feel welcome, definitely coming back

A bit hard to find - go inside, buy you ticket, go up to the next floor - interesting - go up to the next floor and WOW. A small chapel - Baroque in style with paintings by Goya, Gonzalez Velazquez and Jose Camaron. Then go down the stairs to the basement to the plainness and simplicity of a church for inner contemplation. Very unusual and a fascinating story to go with it.

The church is behind the Cathedral of Cadiz to the left and up the stairs to the left. The altar was quite different from others I have seen with Christ carrying his cross and Mary holding the shroud with Jesus face on it. Access is free. We were ther for under 15 minutes.
