A bit hard to find - go inside, buy you ticket, go up to the next floor - interesting - go up to the next floor and WOW. A small chapel - Baroque in style with paintings by Goya, Gonzalez Velazquez and Jose Camaron. Then go down the stairs to the basement to the plainness and simplicity of a church for inner contemplation. Very unusual and a fascinating story to go with it.

The church is behind the Cathedral of Cadiz to the left and up the stairs to the left. The altar was quite different from others I have seen with Christ carrying his cross and Mary holding the shroud with Jesus face on it. Access is free. We were ther for under 15 minutes.

From the outside looks very plain ! But once you get inside Wow!! Completely took our breath away, have to admit we all felt very emotional with the feeling we got from everything that is inside, the organ, statues and the way in general it is laid out

When you enter this church, the first thing to notice are the multiple domes that form the roof. Otherwise I didn't see any other features that showed it was a mosque before it was turned into a church. When you climb the tower of the Cathedral you have a nice look at the domes from above. Don't miss that view!
