Within the grounds of Herrenkrug Park. During our stay there was a massive construction going on next to the hotel elevating the nearby Elbe river dyke. The breakfast as disappointing, lots of fruit flies all over the place. The staff did not bother to clean tables or take orders. Need improvement...

This hotel is only a few Km out of the city centre but feels like you are in a true rural location.
The building has lots of architectural features that are dating back to the 1850’s but is mainly modern with large rooms. That said my room did not have any air conditioning and got very hot.
Bathrooms are clean and functional but the shower is standing in the bath - ok but dated.
Breakfast has a good selection of hot food and cold continental buffet including the traditional cheeses and meats etc.
The evening dinner is pleasant but pricey for what you get. The presentation does not continue into the favour of the food.
Would I stay again - definitely yes.

Stayed for only one night, but it was pure enjoyment. The room was large and with a sitting area, the architecture appealing, the breakfast sumptuous, tasty and varied, the price reasonable and altogether a great value for the money.

Remarkably spacious room - even a walk-in wardrobe! Hotel set in a peaceful wooded park & yet able to access city centre with number 6 tram within 15 minutes. One can catch a tram a five minute walk from the hotel & the trams leave every ten minutes. You cannot hear the trams from the hotel. The accommodation is quite retro, but well-fitted & clean. The staff are particularly charming & welcoming. The breakfast is copious & will set you up for the entire day! The Elbauen Park nearby is perfect for family fun. A day trip to the World Heritage town of Potsdam is well worth a visit. Amazing castles, pretty town & site of so much History.

We used this hotel as a 2 day stop off between Lithuania and London. The hotel is beautiful and the service very good.

The food was excellent both at breakfast and dinner - the dinner buffet was superb and while not cheap was still good value for money.

The only downsides to the hotel were, no robes available for the spa facilities, the sauna and steam room were not available during the day.

Most of the in house literature was only in German although the concierge did speak English!
