We stopped for a great citron presse, and the owner was so nice we decided to stay for a light lunch. We shared an excellent gazpacho, and then had a "tartine" each, one of "Terre" and one of "mer". Both were delicious, liberally covered with Normandy cheese and charcuterie or marinated salmon and anchovies. Gazpacho was 5 euros, and tartines 10 euros each. We eat on the sunny terrace pavement.

One of the best breakfast grandes crêmes we have had for a long time.

Friendly owner; attractive room. Lunch menu looks terrific - both for content and price.

Open Tuesday to Saturday but - sadly - not open in the evenings.

Horrendous drive in torrential rain from the Tunnel to Rouen, followed by a bit of a nightmare hunt for the Mecure Hotel, culminating in husband nearly turning around and going home on seeing the teeny size of their underground car park....small entrance, down a slope, around a corner with large estate car...you can picture the scene! However, everything came up roses when we stumbled across the Studio Fricot tucked behind the hotel. Turned out it was Beaujolais Nouveau Night, so only a limited menu, but what a lovely surprise, a delicious choice of wine, a plate of beautifully presented cheeses, pates, etc, followed by a classic tarte aux pommes, with ice-cream and warm caramel sauce. Add in a restaurant full of people enjoying the first Beaujolais of 2016 and we couldn't have asked for a better ending to a horrible day. Praise to the owner/server who made us very welcome.

Food experience, and service fantastic.
Good value, and special ambience.
Central location by Mercure hotel, and near Notre Dame cathedral.

I went their for tea and a pastry. They are homemade and really good. The owner was extremely kind and helpful. You can sit outside in summer and the inside is nicely decorated. Recently redone.
