Great location. Nice hotel but compact

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 20 Oct 2023via mobile
Very friendly staff in a great location. Hotel is old but full of character. The lift is very old and certain parts of the hotel show their age but it is clean and has all the facilities you could need. Our room was a Superior but quite small and the bed was a double rather than a king I think. The bed was comfortable. There was a small desk in the room with a chair and a stool but not much space on it. However there was a shelf over the bed. Round the corner was a wardrobe which contained drawers, shelves, a safe and a fridge so that was good. There were no hot drink making facilities in the room but you could get them in the lobby.

The bathroom was compact. There was a shower over the bath which was very efficient but it was quite high for me to climb over the bath to get in. There was no space at all for wash bags so we had to put them in the wardrobe on a shelf.

The lobby was reasonable but the lift was very small - only room for cases and one person. I liked the theming of the white bear. It was a reasonable value especially as the location was excellent with lots of restaurants very close by. We opted not to have breakfast. It was served in the basement and did not look that comprehensive for the price so we had breakfast outside of the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and most spoke adequate English. Quetien (? spelling) on the night shift was especially helpful and chatted in English. He also went out of his way to go to another hotel in the morning to get me a postcard of our hotel which he left for me at reception.

I would recommend this hotel for a few nights but not for a week or more as I’d find it a bit too restrictive in size.

Staff and cleanliness 100%. But ... DO NOT STAY HERE. The street noise is unspeakable, unbearable, esr-splitting and ill-making. Hours and hours and relentless hours of it. No let up until 3 am. With an early flight and a totally sleepless night I left in the morning barely coherent.

Room tip: STREET NOISE. Pity because the staff were 100% lovely, the bed comfy and cleaner than clean! But, dear Lord, I pay to SLEEP not suffer.

Stayed one night for flight from Toulouse airport. Pleasant enough, basic hotel. Toiletries supplied, towels....although fresh appeared grubby. Bedding spotless, good sleep even with the retirement demonstrations round the corner. No view, we looked onto a car park.....nit an issue though. There are Ours 3 Blanc hotels all very close together in this are. Metro minutes away as are restaurants; shops etc. Staff very pleasant, breakfast available but we did not book this. Parking across from the hotel is €29 per night.....we thought €17.50 as on Booking.com website. Parking at reduced rate is in the Jeanne D'Arc car park, a couple of minutes away. Streets are narrow and busy, but if I can drive in Toulouse then so can you!! Go a bit further for cheaper parking.
No vanity bar in bathroom for your own essentials though. Small TV . I looked for an English channel...didn't find one although another reviewer did find them. Room was a corner room and spacious.
All in all we would stay again. Right in the centre of Toulouse.

Room tip: The car park facing the hotel at €29 euros for 24hrs is spacious, bright and easy to access. €17.50 reduced rate for the hotel parking is a 2 minute drive away.

Recently visited Toulouse and booked this place with breakfast from booking.com? Was shocked at the state of a hotel in the middle of the centre? The bathroom was HORRIBLE HORRIBLE? Breakfast a scam …

The location is center and the staff were pleasant. The breakfast was standard continental. The hotel itself is dated and the rooms and bathroom very small. The bathroom toilet and shower were full of mold. I don’t mind a clean older hotel but a dirty old hotel makes for a unpleasant experience. The WiFi was terrible. It was also unsecured, which is dangerous to anyone accessing the internet. Our view was a ugly parking garage directly across the street. The street is very noise as several restaurants are next door and people eating, drinking, singing. So you’ll never sleep with the windows open. Hotel has AC. One one electric outlet for the whole room was challenging. Be aware that all the doors to the rooms are clustered at the end of the hall so you can hear each neighboring room coming and going. Toulouse is a beautiful city, but the hotel left a bad taste for our first visit.

Room tip: I would avoid this hotel and it’s sister hotel nearby.

They claim nice covid friendly no upfront payment and flexibility but hide somewhere (i have not found where) that upfront flexibility do not mean they do not charge you full thereafter! I turned sick with a flu. Did not want to risk mine nor spread to the hotel’s guests that risk. And got the full bill for being thoughtful.
