This was my 4th and BEST visit to Versailles! I had never visited with a guide and really had missed so much. Sophie of Private Tours Paris was amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable but also had fun facts about the history of Versaille. She started our tour with the back gardens and worked our way to the main entrance. She also guided us through the gardens but also gave us some free time to explore. It was also nice to be picked up at our hotel. I would highly recommend this tour company and especially Sophie. In addition to being a great guide she was also very friendly and funny. On our way back to Paris the traffic was horrendous, she did not let that get her down or stress her out (which would have been a bummer for us). We chatted and by the time we got to our hotel we felt like we had made a friend! She also gave us great restaurant suggestions.

We did a day trip with Claude to Versailles and Giverny. It was our one splurge on our vacation to Paris. It is not a cheap tour but it was worth every penny. Claude was at our door a little bit early -- and we got to Versailles in time for our 9.05am reservation and straight in the door. We looked at the line-up and were so glad we were able to go straight in!! Claude was so knowledgeable about the history in both Versailles and Monet. We drove back through the beautiful French countryside instead of taking the highway. Although we had taken the train from Germany -- this was such a great way of seeing the countryside and villages. I was quite sad when it ended!!

We decided to take a all-day private tour of Versailles with two friends. It was well worth the expense of being picked up at our Paris apartment and driven out to the chateaux. Honore was our driver. His narratives were so informative. He drove/walked us out to the entire property. Taking a private tour with a small group is the way to go. Highly recommended.

Just spent 4 days with Julian Janvier; Paris illuminations, Mont St Michel, Versailles, and Montmartre-Eiffel-Louvre. We were not an easy group going to not-easy places; 10 people, one of which was in a wheelchair, and 2 of which were children aged 5 and 3.
His knowledge is exhaustive be it in history, geography, architecture or art. He had tons of stories and details, and even visuals on his iPad! I'd been to Paris before and taken tours similar to what we had with him, but I never learned so much. His expertise, enthusiasm for his job, and especially for the arts is really infectious.
Most importantly, Julian kept everyone's limitations in mind and was very considerate of my mom and the kids. I had a fantastic time on the tours and found myself wishing that all guides were like him.
Thank you to Private Tours Paris and to Julian for taking such good care of us and making our trip so wonderful.
I will choose your company again and again.

Our tour guide was Aymeric. Awesome human being, let alone a tour guide. Spent an entire day in Paris and then Normandy the next day. Don't visit either without Aymeric.
Thought we know a lot about Normandy, but Aymeric added in so many details. Very helpful in our understanding of the D-Day invasion. So glad we invested in Private Tours Paris.
