We stayed at the Hotel Saint Marc in October 2021 and I would, hands down, recommend anyone who wants a boutique hotel and personalized stay to consider the Hotel Saint-Marc. Check in was smooth and Lucas helped us secure a daily hour time slot in their private pool and steam room. The steam room is everything after a long day of traveling around the city. The pool area and steam room was consistently clean and sanitized.
We booked the Executive room since we felt we wanted more space than what was offered in their standard rooms. However, after seeing the size of their Executive rooms, I think I would have been just as happy in a standard room. There was plenty of space, the bathroom was very large, and storage was available. As other reviewers have mentioned, depending on the room you get, it can be dark. We did end up with a room that was pretty dark. The linens were crisp and comfortable and I appreciate the pillows the most. They were firm and didn't lose its shape overnight.
The bathroom amenities are available but the hair dryer in our room, 202, worked unexpectedly. It would not stay on consistently. The products available are Grown Alchemist and was of high quality. Towels and bathrobes provided were plush. The best part about the bathroom was the rain shower head. The surrounding area is quiet but you are just blocks away from many great eats and cafes and attractions. I really enjoyed the lobby area and dining area. There's daily afternoon Nespresso and snacks (pastries, cakes) and mariage frere teas in the dining and patio area. I really enjoyed sitting in the patio and it was hardly used during our stay.
This being a boutique hotel also means fewer rooms. It truly felt like an intimate experience. One thing to note is that the temperature gauge in the room did not seem to be available for control. We had no issues though as we were able to open the window and it faced the courtyard. Twice during our stay there was loud music and raucous conversation around 3-5am. In general, you cannot hear other guests in the hotel. The rooms are well sound proofed but it is easy to hear hallway noises.
If I visit Paris again, this is the best hotel to stay at. The private spa, amenities, proximity to attractions and privacy afforded at the hotel cannot be beat. Excellent service and staff also--Lucas, Ousman, and David were all wonderful as were other team members.More
