There are people who actually believe this is the best restaurant in the world & they could be right.

Staying at La Reserve hotel in Paris, one of the city’s most luxurious is an exceptional once in a lifetime event.

The architecture, ambience and service is magnificent but maintains a simplicity not often found in luxury establishments.

Dinjng in the restaurant is a must for anyone passionate about food.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the hotel, in an elegant, classically French setting.

It’s a restaurant created for memories, romance and moments to be savoured.

An immaculate Japanese couple in tuxedo and full kimono dined with fresh rose petals on the table next to us the night we were there.

It opens at 7pm, and the hotel’s bar is a gorgeous spot for a drink beforehand and has some spectacular cocktails mixed by professional mixologists.

The gin cocktail was too much fun, served in a bath with a straw.

As soon as we sat down, the waiter brought us some amuse bouche.

There were three each to be eaten in a particular order.

Each bite was a taste sensation, and left us hungry for more.

We chose the Experience menu, with matching wines, which was an exceptional experience from start to finish.

The first course was a plate of small seafood pieces in a thick but sweet soy style sauce.

The blend of French flavours from Brittany and Asian tastes from Japan was immediately apparent.

Second we’re aubergine pieces posing as mushrooms with a miso and sake sauce. Unbelievable. Another astonishing dish of neatly presented tastes and flavours.

A plate of Sea bass garnished with black lemon & cockles from Brittany was extraordinary, and flavoured with white soy sauce & wasabi

The roast pidgeon was presented as a disc of food, again - surprising, flavoursome and delicious.

The wine pairing was such a treat as the sommelier educated us in the world’s very best global vineyards, varieties and tastes.

A Lemon/lime bite for dessert, as well as petit fours was amazing.

Such a stunning culinary experience in an intimate but warm, French setting.

I had planned this dinner for a while as I was proposing to my girlfriend earlier that day. I had emailed the restaurant and they said they would put out rose petals. I guess they forgot. Other than that the meal was excellent. The food, while not cheap, was delicious. There was one thing I didn’t like, the ravioli that came with the hen, which they immediately noticed and apologized. They even brought us out another dessert as an apology.

Compared with Astrance which was more expensive and awful food where they couldn’t care less.

Overall a great culinary meal. Worth the splurge. And the room in the hotel for the restaurant is stunning.

What an indescribably amazing experience. I wanted to treat my girlfriend to a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience during our short stay in Paris, and Le Gabriel delivered.

We received a warm curbside greeting and were cordially escorted to the cocktail lounge for apértifs. The decor and ambiance were wonderful. We enjoyed two rounds of champagne as the waiter gingerly walked us through the menu and the sommelier offered his services. We appreciated how the staff allowed us to leisurely enjoy our apértifs while planning ahead for our meal.

The dining room was just as stunning as the bar. Much like the lounge, it blended classical French luxury with modern chic––exactly the vibe we were hoping for. We each ordered the four-course chef's meal and wine pairing selected by the sommelier. We promised we were fine with whatever courses and wines were selected––with the caveat that my girlfriend's meal be vegetarian––and they did not disappoint. The chef displayed creative genius, with innovative preparations that sent our taste buds into overdrive. My favorite course was the barely-seared Norwegian salmon, while my girlfriend's was the carrot-and-ginger ravioli. The staff was friendly, refined, and attentive throughout our meal.

We concluded our evening with digestifs in the cocktail lounge. I told our attentive bartender that I really enjoy cognac, but I just haven't been exposed to much of it back home in California. He offered a truly delicious selection that capped off a truly memorable evening.

I wholeheartedly recommend this amazing restaurant for your trip to Paris.

Dear Ryantdarby92101,

Thank you ever so much for your praiseful and kind words. The entire team of Le Gabriel was extremely touched by your comments and we cannot express enough how happy we are that we were able to offer you such a special moment and memory.

In fact, we all remember you with fondness; it was an absolute delight sharing this evening and our passion for French cuisine with true enthusiasts such as your goodselves.

Jacques Garcia, the designer of the entire hotel, as you noted, wanted to convey understated luxury and simplicity to create the perfect setting for our guests to relax, while enjoying fine dining.

Tinihau was also very happy he could share his enthusiasm for Cognac with you both at the end of your dinner.

We truly look forward to welcoming you back soon at the restaurant le Gabriel and our house La Réserve Paris.

Best wishes and happiness to you both.

Warm regards,

Marco Tognon.

To celebrate our wedding anniversary my husband and I decided to dine at Le Gabriel, in Paris. To say that it was a memorable experience, would be an understatement. We chose the nine course tasting menu and were glad we did. Each course was beautifully and meticulously prepared and it was nothing short than “Art on a Plate”. Often it really looked too pretty to eat. Each course was uniquely different and equally delicious: introducing a new symphony of flavors to the palate. The meat dish was not to our liking primarily because we like our meat very well done and this was very rare. However, by this time we were also pretty full. The bread and butter were to die for and we had to exercise a great deal of self control to refuse it when the server offered. I could have easily eaten this all evening! The service was absolutely impeccable and all the servers were delightful. The setting was grandiose but intimate at the same time. This is one of those events that one must experience on their own. It is difficult to adequately express the many facets of the entire experience.

A big thank you to all the servers and waiters for the special anniversary desert. A special thank you on behalf of my husband goes to the waiter who discreetly handed him a red rose to give to me.

All I can say is that for my husband and I it truly was a magical evening which we will fondly remember for many years to come.

Dear Madam,

We are absolutely delighted to hear that you enjoyed your dinner with us. We are equally honoured that you chose our beautiful house and gastronomic restaurant to celebrate as special an occasion as your wedding anniversary.

We must note your wonderful phrase ‘Art on a plate’. It could not resonate more with Le Gabriel’s cuisine ethos: food should look as beautiful as it tastes, and is a way of expression for emotions and memories when words are inadequate. We are very happy you got to create some more memories of your own with Chef Banctel’s cuisine.

It is so lovely to hear you liked the decor. The design of the entire hotel was signed by Jacques Garcia and La Reserve Paris’s signature and raison-d’être is to create a luxurious yet understated and intimate environment for our guests. Quite simply a second home away from home, which is reflected in our approach to service. Our entire team is very proud indeed for it succeeded in offering you a special and warm experience.

We also note your preferences for the meat preparation and we cannot wait to welcome you back to hopefully offer you another take on that dish.

Best wishes,

Marco Tognon.
