Dirty plates and tastless food. Boyfriend had a pizza which was sloppy and poor quality. I had the seafood linguine which was alright but clearly not fresh.
Staff weren't very helpful and manager seemed unbothered.
After a morning visiting Montmarte and Basilaque du Sacre-Coeur we noticed Bella Italia on our walk to the Metro. We gave it a try and were pleased with the results. The place is not fancy and the service a bit slow (although friendly). My wife had the simple pepperoni pie and I went for the anchovies, capers, and olives. Not bad from my perspective and I'm a former Jersey boy.
Our family with 2 children tried to eat here tonight. We ordered Garlic bread just after placing our pizza order. We wanted it with cheese if possible.
The manager did not understand us so we immediately checked that we had ordered garlic bread with cheese. He seemed Drunk or Drugged and got very angry insisting that even though it had only been a few seconds since we ordered it, we would have now to accept just cheese bread no garlic. I asked if he could be reasonable. He replied what am I supposed to do eat it?
At this point we did not feel safe to eat there any longer. The waitress had her head in her hands. I felt sorry for her.
I gave €10 towards the cokes we had not touched and then tried to get away from him As we left he became violent. He tried to block the door repeatedly elbowing my teenage daughter whilst trying to kick me. He grabbed my sons jacket and refused to return it.
We called the police to attend about the assault and theft but they did not manage to attend before he hurriedly closed the restaurant and shutters half an hour early.
He ruined our last night in Paris, no meal and waiting ages for the police who didn’t come.
I think he was out if his mind, such a bizarre experience how can this man be dealing with the public? Not safe.
Do not take children or anyone else here.
The manager is aggressive police were even called DO NOT come here for your own sake. He almost seemed drunk.
