By far one of the best restaurants in Paris! I recently visited this restaurant with my family. We had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and Catherine Reed was incredibly charming! Be sure to order the tomato tart. It was incredible!

I would describe REED as good down home French cooking. Not trendy or flashy. The owner is the chef is the server is the dishwasher. Plus all the grocery shopping, cleaning, ... That is a lot of work. She is originally from French Canada - speaks English.

We read reviews of this place, and decided to go. Catherine was so down to earth, and made us feel very comfortable at her restaurant. Both of our meals were completely exciting and delicious. This would be the type of small restaurant you would want to go to where you and your friends could relax and have a very, very enjoyable dinner.

Visited December 21 for a birthday dinner - Catherine was a charming host who welcomed into her delightful bistro & kitchen. The tomato tart to start was amazing - pastry was so light and delicious. The duck confit main was the best ever! And then there were the desserts - the apple/pear tartin was incredible as was the chocolate concoction embellished with sugared berries. We will be back again - one day would love to take Catherine’s cooking class.
Thanks for such a memorable meal and evening!

We were looking forward to dining at Reed, but were disappointed. The concept is certainly novel....but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Very limited menu; only 2 entrees, 2 plats, and 2 deserts. The tart that shows up in one of the 2 entrees also shows up in one of the 2 deserts. It's expensive, particularly when wine is on offer only by the bottle (a 50 cl pichet would have worked fine for us) and the cheapest bottle is a Muscadet at US$40. The total bill including the aforementioned wine came to US$170 for two (and can't be any less unless you do without wine), and the food was quite ordinary. There are a number of better and less expensive dining options within a 10 minute stroll in every direction from there.
