Owner description: This beautiful museum, once a railroad station, now houses a staggering collection of Impressionist art, as well as other items created between 1848 and 1914. In 2011, the museum is running a renovation of the top floor (impressionist gallery). Only ground and medium floor are accessible. The top floor will re-open on the 20th of October. Meanwhile, some impressionist masterpieces are not visible.

I enjoy visiting Orsay Museum more than even Louvre. Have been here two times, will definitely come again in my future trips. My recommendation is to start the museum at the top floor where you can see the beautiful Monet collection and the other impressionists. There is a nice restaurant with a great interior on the first floor of the museum. Recommended.

As a lover of French impressionist paintings, this museum is a must when visiting Paris. It is truly an amazing place for any art lover. In addition, the museum restaurants are outstanding in their own right. Fantastic place to spend a day in Paris.

The Musee d'Orsay, formerly a train station, is now one of the best museums in Western Europe. The museum has a hefty with sculptures and especially impressionist paintings. This museums has perhaps one of the most impressive collections of paintings by artist such as Van Gogh, Cezanne, Monet, Degas and many others.

For shear volume of history the Louvre beats them all but if you like impressionist art even a little you won’t be disappointed. The finest collection in the world both in depth and breadth of impressionist art in my opinion. Also organized in a way that flows. The deco collection is quite nice as well.

This beautiful old train station, turned museum is my favorite museum in Paris. The impressionist paintings are impressive. It’s easy to go through this place, and it offers an app to help you locate works you’re trying to visit. Buy your passes before you go so they can scan them more quickly in the prepaid lines.
