Even if you are not big arts fan this show gonna impress you a lot. Amazing idea, we stayed to watch all over again because it was so so magical and touching.... if haven't visited this place while in Paris then you have not seen real Paris yet ;)

Not too far from the Pere Lachaise Cemetery is a fabulous, non-traditional, immersive experience on the art of Gustave Klimt. It's a light installation of much of his work illuminating the inside of an old smelting plant from the 19th century. So creatively produced and further, it is scored, at one point by Philip Glass. The show covers the walls (immense walls) and floors--you are totally encased by the work of 120 cameras and 50 speakers. So amazing, so 21st century, so Parisian.

This exhibit will be in Paris for at least the summer. I went pretty much at opening time, so the inside was not crowded. Also, there is some seating, but be prepared to stand a good part of the time, or stroll as the show goes on.

More information available on website as well as a taste of the art.

This attraction is hard to describe. Just take my word for it that if you love art and are open to an immersive experience then this is jaw-dropping good. It is not just an exposition of the artwork of these 2 artists, it is an artwork in and of itself. Go see it. It also has an amazing soundtrack...operatic arias, Phillip Glass, electronic music...

If you have a chance to see the Klimt exhibition whilst it’s in Paris, do it. It is enchanting. It’s best to get there as early as possible because it starts getting busy pretty quickly but the crowds don’t detract from the mesmerising animation of these besotting works of art. The music is also sensational. No pictures or videos can do it justice - just see it if you can.
Student discount is an added bonus!
