I was pleasantly surprised at the standard of accommodation; the room was furnished in a boutique style with excellent facilities including a nice shower and an exceptionally comfortable bed.

I arrived quite late in the evening and there was music playing in the bar and I was concerned that I might be able to hear this from my room which was situated above the bar; however as soon as I left the bar area I was unable to hear anything and my room was very quiet.

I had an excellent night’s sleep on a very comfortable bed.

At breakfast on Sunday the lady overseeing breakfast was fantastic (I think her name was Diana); as I was recovering from a recent surgical operation I was unable to eat items from the breakfast menu. It was lovely at how attentive this lady was, her help with catering to my specific dietary requirements was very much appreciated and was handled sensitively and in a professional way which made me feel valued as a customer.

I visit Lancaster at least once a year and will definitely be staying here again, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Room Tip: I had Room Number 2

My husband and I booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary and will be happily making this a yearly tradition! The location was fantastic, the room was lovely and the staff couldn't have been more friendlier. A wonderful find!

When we deserve to be spoiled we indulge ourselves with a short stay at this hidden gem on the historic St. George's Quay. Boutique accommodation, homely, friendly buzz, inventive and well presented food. Back soon. J&P
