Description: An independent family run restaurant and wine bar serving traditional British food in the heart of Harrogate. William & Victoria has developed a reputation for great food served in a relaxed and unfussy style. Hearty Yorkshire portions of locally sourced meat and fish served in a cosy wine bar/bistro that oozes character and personality with a buzz created by it's popularity with locals that you will find any day of the week. The wine bar is open all afternoon serving a variety of drinks along with bar tapas. Owner and front of house, David Straker, is at the 'helm' most evenings and on hand to recommend wines from an extensive and well balanced wine list. More spacious dining areas with seating for 50 people, along with another well stocked bar, is situated upstairs along with a private dining room ideal for business entertaining and private parties.

This is our favourite Harrogate restaurant - never had a bad experience. Service amazing, food fabulous and varied - really can't fault it. We prefer the wine bar but the food is the same upstairs too. You will need to book in advance! Extensive wine list.

Me and my partner visited on Friday for our anniversary and had an amazing meal. We both had the lamb Henry with some extra sides. It was perfect. The lamb was so tender and full of flavour. The sides we got where the cauliflower cheese and the peas in a creamy sauce with bacon. Both amazing & full of flavour. Best meal I have had in a long time.
The service was also great, we felt very well looked after, all the wait staff made sure we had everything we needed and we didn’t wait long for anything.
Thank you for a great night and we will most definitely be back again soon!

We visited William and Victoria for our first wedding anniversary and whilst the food was delicious, the service made the experience unpalatable. It was clear from our arrival that the manager is a control freak and an unfriendly one at that. We told them we’d booked a table and were referred to the man behind the bar, who was knee deep in customers. The staff did not smile, engage or show any signs that they worked in the hospitality industry, with the exception of a young man who was new (clearly the misery hasn’t infected him yet). For me dining is as much about service as it is good food, therefore I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re a curmudgeon yourself and prefer to be among equally unhappy people.

My hubby and I had dinner here on Friday night and it was really enjoyable. The atmosphere was nice, fairly quiet at the time we ate and the food was really good. There was a nice choice of wines too :0)

We visited here on a nice Saturday in April having heard this was a decent spot for a good meal.

There was very little atmosphere in the restaurant so we may have booked a little too early but were sat promptly and order was taken in good time.

The choice was ok and the dishes we ordered tasted good but did not blow us away. The service was average little interest shown in us as guests.

We had starters and mains but decided to leave desert. I think for me the venue needs a little bit of an update if we were to return.
