Popped in for dinner with my family and our dog. The staff could not have been more helpful. Food was good, lots of choice on the menu. Although I was not impressed with the Steak and Ale pie. The pastry was not edible. The rest of the meals were good. The Burger was lovely.
The beers were well kept.

Came for pub lunch on a Sunday. Friendly staff on arrival but our table wasn't ready. Seated late at a table for 4 with an extra squeezed on instead of a table for 5.

Good range of beers on tap. Starters were all very nice and came out quickly. Roast dinners were nice. Wild mushroom risto wasn't great. Stodgy and had raw garlic in it that overpowered the taste. Good coffees, strong well made espresso. I would visit again.

Situated very close to one of the locks on the canal makes this a good stop for those on narrowboats.
The pub garden overlooks the canal and had a nice play area for younger children.
The bar had a good selection of gins but unfortunately the bar staff poured the tonic and sadly flooded the gin, so would recommend if you don’t like too much tonic in your gin request you pour your own.
Kitchen was closed when we visited at 3pm so if you want food check ahead for times.

Visited recently for Sunday lunch. Staff were quite rude and the food was awful. Veggie option was risotto served with gravy!!!! All the food was luke warm at best with one small bowl of veg served for Six people. Some money was deducted off the bill but with no explanation or apology. Won’t be going back for food in a hurry :-(

We booked a Father's day Sunday lunch at the Coach and Horses for 7 adults and a large old labrador. We were not disappointed. We and the dog were very well looked after by the attentive and friendly staff on duty that day. We all had different meals and everyone at our table declared theirs had been delicious. The presentation was pretty and the two dishes of vegetables ample for all to share. Only a few of us took desert and again, these were scrumptious. This is a lovely venue, we shall return. The beer garden by the canal side is shaded and includes several bench tables, the play area a bonus for young children. There is also a large car park. We shall return!
