I've been in Galway lst September when we could travel and I surely enjoyed my stay there. We got one of the new renovated room on the top floor and it was very nice, great value for how much we paid. We were attended by such lovely staff for the whole stay. Check-in was spotless and I had a chat with an Italian receptionist that helped me a lot.
We will stay there again in the future!

I was very well looked after in this lovely central hotel, it was excellent value and I hope it is soon full of tourists again after the restrictions, my room was very clean and the coffee in the cafe was first class, I ate out for dinner but the menu and cocktail list looks great, can’t wait to go back

Stayed here overnight. First room we got was at the front of the hotel, noise from street, light hanging off wall, bed didnt align with headboard, dirty marks on wall and table. That room should not be given to anyone full stop! Requested a room change. Got a different room towards the back of the hotel that was smaller but in a lesser state of disrepair. Hotel is well located to explore the city so we used it as somewhere to put our head down only. Will be returning to Galway but will choose a different hotel

Good Day adaml44,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review of your experience. We greatly appreciate all of our guests feedback.

We are very sorry to hear your experience with us did not go as planned. We are currently under renovations to get all of our rooms up to a more comfortable standard. Maybe once our works have been completed we could persuade you to come join us again on a special rate in Galway.

In the meantime, stay safe and all the very best,

The Eyre Square Team

My wife and I returned yesterday after a most enjoyable and great value 3 night stay in Eyre Square Hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable with a good shower. Food was good and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful (esp Jack in the bar who was so pleasant to deal with but the rest of the staff were also brilliant). Food was good and the location is perfect (Bus and train station is right next door and when you leave the hotel you're straight onto Eyre Square).
It's not 5 star nor does it pretend to be but Eyre Square Hotel is terrific value for the prices charged with a high standard of service and cleanliness in particular relating to precautions against Covid 19.
The hotel does not have parking but there is a multi storey car park right behind where we parked at 2.30pm on Tuesday and left the car until 11am on Friday for just €30.
Great value all round and we would be very happy to stay there again.

Stayed here with a group of friends thankfully only for 1 night last week. Our room 205 was very tired worn and a bit too smelly.

The company seems to be using Covid to save money and reduce the basic comforts it should be providing. Not even a glass or plastic cup (that could be provided securely sealed in plastic) for the bathroom. Trust me I’d rather drink from a washed glass than from the tap in this room.

Tissue box empty, lights hanging from wall, and poorly hung curtains all accompanied the grubby carpet to make us very grateful to be there for only one night.

Street noise with party revellers to about 2am and Street Cleaner’s and Deliveries from 5am made it impossible to get any quality sleep. I couldn’t in any case rush down to reception to complain as the elevator call button was broken and couldn’t call the elevator.

On a plus side, if you can put up with all of these minor issues the hotel is extremely well located for exploring Galway City and the surrounding area.
