“Artichokes or Aubergines ?”

Both waitresses told me that one of the dishes had Artichokes in it, when the dish arrived it actually had Aubergines. They then argued that they had not said Artichokes despite both myself and my colleague hearing this. One of the waitresses even said i was mistaken due to her accent which was not the case.
To be fair they did then take this dish off my bill
More the way it was dealt with to be honest but not a great experience when you've arrived late into a City on business and have popped out for a quick meal

Small Italian restaurant along the street with great pasta, even for the gluten intolerant. Fresh tasty food, crisp wine and friendly service made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Walk-in with no reservation and given a table in a fairly empty restaurant and told needed to be out within an hour and quarter. It then took 15 minutes to take our order and then the time to bring each dish was also slow.

The fish dish was on a bed of cooked vegetables which were cold, although to be fair the fish was warm and perfectly cooked, so didn’t complain.

By the time we were served our sweet (which was good) we had apparently run over the allotted time at the table and were asked to move a couple of times in the space of 5 minutes as we were about to finish and said we were leaving. It seemed a bit puzzling given so many tables were empty. Our table didn’t seem to occupy a particularly special position between several tables, which were empty when we left.

Guess it would have been a better experience if the service had not been slow and a table had been booked in advance.

Thank Jonanny

We ate lunch here after checking into the Albany House Hotel across the street. I had the mushroom pasta and my husband had the bolinase pasta. Both dishes were very good but serving size very small for the €35 price, without a beverage.

Dear Lesley,
Thank you very much for your review and glad you and your husband like our dishes. Our pasta serving size is slightly larger then recommend portion, however, please feel free to let us know you'd like more pasta when you order next time, there will be absolutely no extra charge and we'd love to see you again while you staying in Dublin. Have a lovely day.

De Luca is a charming little restaurant. The staff were friendly and efficient. My wife and I both had the Prawn Risotto, and it was very well executed; enough lemon zest to be flavourful, but without over-powering the rice. The portion size was generous. The desserts were good. With a bottle of wine, the bill was EUR 89. Recommended.
