Lovely Marriott property at a good value - wonderful front desk staff . So helpful and friendly .Rooms are nicely appointed with all amenities needed. Autograph hotels are so lovely each one different .
Walking distance to all the sites as well as train just a few blocks.
We hope to return soon

Wonderful hotel - very well appointed - helpful, friendly staff. We were lucky enough to stay there using Marriott Bonvoy points but we will be back. The central Edinburgh location was a big bonus. Beautiful roof garden area and rooms that were very well cleaned each day of our stay. Exceeded our expectations and highly recommended.

The Glasshouse is a beautiful hotel with quite exceptional staff, such a shame that the breakfast lets it down. The full Scottish breakfast which includes the continental items costs £25.00, bacon sausage and egg were all overcooked. For this price you would expect some quality control. Even the Continental breakfast at £15.00 was uninspiring.
To make it worse, on check out we were charged a 10% service charge on the breakfast (which wasn't mentioned by any of the staff).
I must mention again that all the staff were superb

Room tip: Don't eat in the restaurant

Room offered us was situated INSIDE the active noisy bar of this hotel. The room was offered as an upgrade as our original room was unavailable due to a section of the hotel facing construction being closed which was where our room was originally. No emails or advance notification of this. Our upgraded room literally was inside an active bar. The manager advised us that no other rooms were available for the first night but she could move us the next day. No offer of a reduced rate, a cocktail or even "sorry about this". We switched to the Waldorf Astoria Caledonia that evening.....in the rain. I spoke with Marriott customer care and the management level multiple times requesting some credit as they FULLY charged us for the first night as we were outside the cancellation time line. I made multiple attempts to explain our situation to no avail. I was told that the manager offered us other room options which was not true. A total lack of empathy for a long time loyal client. Not sure what has happened to Marriott but they have lost there warmth and kindness for their guests. They have also lost us as future guests. Stay away from the GLASSHOUSE in the wonderful city of Edinburgh, Scotland. The Glasshouse is not so wonderful.

A long weekend visiting family - we were well looked after by all the staff, rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped. Lots of choice at breakfast to suit different tastes.

Reception and concierge provided particularly great service in sorting out our rooms and advice about where to eat. Jonathan (concierge) was especially helpful, friendly and welcoming.
