We visited on our last full day in Edinburgh (we were there for 6 days), and I have to say, I wish we had gone earlier in the week, as I would have gone back for a second visit. It was just gorgeous. The rhododendrons were like nothing I have ever seen. Just spectacular. We wandered and enjoyed the serenity of this wonderful place. And, oh, my, god, the glass houses are beyond belief. There is an entry fee of 6.5 pounds, and it is worth every single penny. What a truly magical place. We spent 2 1/2 house just touring the 10 magical glass houses and their environs. There is an unbelievable amount of care and love that goes into this place, and it shows. Not to mention their scientific and cultural endeavors. Bravo. If you enjoy flowers, gardens, flora and fauna, and the outdoors, this is not to be missed. Lovely visitors center that had a terrific art exhibit going on as well as a very nice gift shop and wonderful, helpful staff.
