After a mammoth trip from NZ no empathy or pleasantries from the staff who knew we had been delayed. Any queries were responded with one word answers. Location is great but I suppose you get what you pay for. We found better options.

very Convenient located hotel close to central Edinburgh with bars and restaurants nearby, the bus 100 to/from airport stops right in front of hotel. the beds in the room were double beds, don't know if they're all the same but more suitable for friends or singles than couples. you can buy breakfast additional as you check in same price as many nearby restaurants that offer breakfasts. The wifi were fast and rooms have the basic needs, the shower was a bit small and might take few min to regulate the hot/cold water.

Room Tip: if you a couple you might need to ask for flatbed or bigger rooms

We stayed for 4 nights in a double room. And when we had to go on a 2-day trip to the highlands they kept our suitcase for us to pick up later - great service.
The staff was always friendly and helpful, and the reception is open 24/7. The rooms however are small and you can pretty much hear most of what your next door neighbor is saying/doing and also people in the hall. And the rooms facing the streets also have traffic noise. But is it a old and small building, so I think you have to expect that - so maybe bring earplugs if you have trouble sleeping. The cleanliness and state of the rooms was okay.
But it's a great location in walking distance to everything!

I want to let you know that we have been really impressed with your hotel. The room is lovely, the lady on shift who greeted us and gave us our key was very friendly and helpful. It is great having a key card to be able to get into the hotel so there has been no restrictions as to the time we could finish up in the city and get back. We would happily use you again and are happy to recommend you to anyone and everyone.

For a 3 star this was both spacious, very clean, nicely furnished and kites out with all you need. Plenty of towels, well working hairdryer, tea and cakes in the room....friendly staff and the list goes on. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that there were some nice from surrounding nightclubs/bars.
