Fantastic guesthouse, very comfortable with all the mod cons. Beautifully decorated and well located. The superb hosts put it 9ver the top with helpful device and a friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was beautifully prepared and served by friendly and knowledgable staff. Parking is available at the rear of the building which is a huge bonus. I highly recommend this lovely spot.

The Grange has an ideal location in the centre of Brecon with plenty of parking and easy walk to the pubs and restaurants, the cathedral, river and canal. Our room was spotless with huge comfy beds, and was very quiet even though it was at the front of the building. We had a lovely freshly-cooked breakfast in the bright dining room. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming, but unobtrusive, and had a wealth of local knowledge of all the attractions and sights in the area; for walkers there's a huge map to help you plan your walks. A great place to unwind and spend a few days in a lovely part of the world.

The Grange Guest House is a high quality establishment with a homely feel.

The house itself is tastefully decorated and rooms very comfortable. Immaculate housekeeping is easy to see throughout the Guest House. There is ample room to store any muddy boots from a days walking, as our hosts are keen walker's too.

The guest bedrooms have well stocked tea and coffee making facilities and plenty of room to move about (stayed in room 3). Good sized bathroom too.

Breakfast is plentiful with cereals and full breakfast on offer.

Information on Brecon National Park is available at the Guest House and the local knowledge of our hosts was a credit to Brecon Tourist Board !

Venues serving evening meals and local pubs are a short walk away, as is the town centre, so we were ideally situated.

I would return here and happily recommend this place to others.

We stayed for 2 nights in Room 5 which has a king size bed, bath and shower and is a very large room. Neil and Rob could not have done more, they were wonderful. The room was tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed including tea and coffee making facilities, TV and hairdryer. The room was to the rear of the property so was very quiet. Breakfast was a real joy, a perfectly cooked english breakfast with toast and home made jams and marmalade (which we bought to take home). Style was in abundance throughout the property and this is probably the best guesthouse we have ever stayed in. The place is spotless and faultless and we will be booking again the next time we stay in Brecon. Well done Neil and Rob, your efforts have not gone unnoticed.

Hi Vicki,

Thank you for the kind review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your couple of days with us despite the best efforts of the bank holiday weather. At least there is plenty to see and do around Brecon in poor weather as well as fine.

we hope you enjoy the marmalade and jams. We will pass on your complements to Merlin who makes the preserves in her cottage up in the Black Mountains.

We hope we can welcome you both back again soon.

Best Wishes

Neil and Rob

We stayed here for a 3 night motorbiking holiday in the Beacons. We stayed in bedroom 3 (Honddu). The room was of a very good size, beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. In fact this was very much reflected in the rest of the property. Rob and Neil were great hosts, very friendly, always offering great advice and information, in our case this was about routes to take on the bike and places to visit. Breakfast was fantastic with a wide range of choices. We always started the day with a full English which was always hot, hearty and full of locally sourced produce. The Grange is perfectly positioned in Brecon, just outside of the town centre, away from any noise, but within a few minutes walk of restaurants and pubs. It is a lovely building, beautifully refurbished with a private secure car park at the rear, perfect for parking my bike safely overnight. We can't say enough about our experience at the Grange but the title of our review pretty much sums up our stay. If we visit the Beacons again we will definitely stay here. Thanks Rob and Neil.

Thank you for the very kind review. It was lovely to meet you both and we are so pleased you enjoyed the area and motorbiking. The Brecon Beacons are one of the least discovered parks and the further west you go, the quieter it gets.

We look forward to welcoming you back again soon, and maybe you can explore further to the north and west. as the roads to Aberystwyth and the Elan Valley are beautiful.

Happy biking

Neil and Rob
