Shhh! Don’t tell everyone but this place is fabulous! We stayed here Monday to Friday this week and from the get go, the place was super friendly, sparkling clean and such good value. The staff were great fun especially the reception staff, very personable manners and nothing was too much botha! I’m just sorry I didn’t get any names but the staff in reception during this week will know that they are the superstars of this hotel!
We had breakfast and it was still very Covid safe and efficient, very reassuring. There was plenty of seating and all was simply brilliant!
On Monday,Tuesday and weds, there is served, at this fabulous establishment,for one hour only… fine wine and lager (well it was fine to me! ) and tapas style nibbles for the peckish..honestly..it was enough to tide us over til the morning! There is sparkling and still water on tap and 24 hour access to the coffee machines..there are 2..one for normal coffee and the other for decaf-at the touch of a button, you can have hot chocolate, cafe au lait, mocha, lattes galore! Like the coffee genie..your wish is their command!
The house keeping was spot on and super attentive-our room 307 was spotlessly cleaned every day and fresh towels put in when we wanted. I had utter ‘Covid confidence’ in the cleaning here…well done!
We didn’t use the TV or the facilities in the room but there is everything you could need. Our room was super quiet too, a must for us light sleepers…
The quay side location was great…take your pick of quayside pubs and eateries…plenty to keep the tourists and passer boys occupied.
IF I has one gripe it would be the state of the nearby street (by the Dadyal) very run down and litter strewn , it lets the place down TBH. BUT I appreciate this is not the hotels doing …it’s just an observation and I think I’d send the staff to litter pick it as it is the only thing that lets the side down on this amazing place.
This is our 3rd visit here and won’t be our last, I can’t believe we’d forgotten how fabulous it was and still is!

What a pleasant surprise this was, in a prime place in Newcastle this place is a great place to be situated for a few nights of sight seeing - of sample the culinary delights of the city but if you fancy a night in a fully equipped kitchen is part of the room so visit the close by supermarket and feel right at home. Excellent breakfast the next morning followed so well worth a consideration.

Wowsers! Can’t recommend staybridge suites newcastle highly enough. Wonderful sincere staff and amazing accommodation. Absolutely spotless - the cleaning staff work so hard ! Recommending to friends and family. Now my number one choice for a UK short break!
