Eventually due to Covid got to stay fir a reservation originally planned for May 2021 and I have to sat it was well worth the wait. This hotel has real character, an excellent team and we stayed in a beautiful room. Nothing was too much trouble for staff in reception, bar or bistro. Excellent meal and accompanied by good wine. Will definitely beback in fact we have already booked our next stay and dinner.

Room tip: Recommen Recommend Tattinger room

We had a lovely catch up family birthdays afternoon tea yesterday afternoon Thursday 8th July . Welcomed by Shaun to a lovely table in the court yard for 6 of us . We had a comprehensive cocktail menu to choose from to get us started , then a nice array of afternoon tea goodies , sandwiches , the cheese and chutney on brown particularly delicious . Scones with lots of jams and a plentiful helping of cream . Followed by a nice selection of cakes . Lots of tea in nice big pots . All washed down by a lovely glass of champagne . Definitely recommend , very attentive staff and a super afternoon for all the family . Many thanks all

We stayed here 2 nights, a little out the way from the town but a lovely walk if the sun is shining. Massive thank you and appreciate to Shaun Stewart who always asked how we were and making us feel very welcome. A star in the hospitality business
We had a meal in the restaurant on Monday evening and was very disappointed by the steak my husband had ordered, more fat than meat, we did advise the waitress and later that evening we mentioned this to the manager. On checking out no sign of deducting the cost of the steak off the bill yet added £24 for breakfast which we had to advise we had got this with the deal. Refunded back to the card
Room and hotel is very nice just a shame on the meal and no offer of refund

Thank you for your review. I’m sorry a bad steak has affected 40% of the review.

I spoke with you this morning regarding the £24. If you had only mentioned the steak I would have happily resolved this for you.

Just returned from a lovely 1 night stay. We had the Pol Roger deluxe room and we were very impressed. Huge roll top bath and very comfortable bed. Really liked the extra touches such as the nespresso coffee machine, Ferrero Rocher Chocolates and especially the L'Occitane toiletries. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant and breakfast the following morning was also really good. The restaurant staff were extremely friendly and efficient and were always checking we had everything we needed. They were also quite happy to accommodate my request for a starter as a main course!!. We had a lovely relaxing night and can't wait for a return visit.

We stayed for one night last night and upgraded to the Cristal Suite (well worth the extra little bit!) It was a huge room with twin baths on a mezzanine level, overlooking the world's biggest bed! We couldn't get parked in the car park but the lady at reception helpfully directed us to somewhere cheap and super close by (tip - it's change only so take some with you just in case!) The room was really clean and comfortable and the bed was unbelievably comfy! We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner and food and service were both great. We have already booked again!! Thanks for a great stay - a lovely escape from the mad world of COVID 19! (COVID measures were all in place and we felt very safe at all times too!)

Room tip: Take change in case you can't get parked in very small car park and definitely worth the small amount we paid for an upgraded room.
